authors note | since I won't have a lot of time these next few weeks to write full fics (moving, work, christmas in general) I've decided to hold a little blurb event. more details will be below!

schedule | dec 4th - jan 4th - i'll try to write as much as i can but any i don't get to in this period will still be written and posted at a later time

details | i'll provide a dialogue prompt list below but basically you can request a blurb with any of the prompts, you can use your own but it's also if i'm comfortable with it. i'll put a list of players you can request with below and you can use any combination of readers (ex: catley!reader, mccabe!reader etc). blurbs requested can be christmas specific or non-christmas specific. this event isn't specifically christmas fics but just blurbs in general!

example format: [player x reader], [prompt], [location or any specifics you'd like] + [whether you want blurb to be christmas time specific or if the time of year blurb takes place doesn't matter]

who you can request | players: caitlin foord, katie mccabe, alanna kennedy, alexia putellas, leah williamson, kyra cooney-cross, steph catley readers: pollito, starfish, tiny, lil mac specifically or any combination of reader (ex: catley!reader, mccabe!reader, williamson!reader etc).

what i won't write | smut, male!reader, age gap if reader is under 22 ( for the older players ofc), player x player without reader

extra details | i'll do my best to get to every request during this period. but yeah i have a lot on so please be patient, i'll do my absolute best!

abby's birthday blurb weekend!

blurb event!

“Cedric!” You hissed as he rounded yet another corner without checking if there were professors lurking behind them, ready to send students back to bed with a detention to match.

“Oh come on, we won’t be caught. We’re nearly there anyway,” he winked, skipping down the corridor towards the clock tower doors.

He often got excited over small things, especially when those small things involved you. Taking you out to the courtyard under the moonlight was easy enough, something anyone could have done, he supposed. But it was his invitation you’d accepted, his heart you’d accepted all those weeks ago. He couldn’t help but revel in every moment he was granted with you, lest it be taken away.

So as he pushed the doors open and walked into the night, he smiled and waited for you to join him. Overhead the stars were glistening but millions of miles away they were burning, and he wondered what it might be like to merely burn for existence. Perhaps he was further from understanding before he met you, but now he swore he knew something of what it was like. Under his fragile skin and past his brittle bones, there lay a heart and soul burning and blazing as fierce as the most distant star.

It burned for you, and though sometimes he was scorched, he would not change his scars if it meant losing you.

“It’s beautiful tonight,” you whispered, placing your hands and face on Cedric’s chest as you looked up to the night sky.

Cedric hummed in agreement, wrapping his arms around to keep you close to him and share your warmth, “You’re beautiful tonight, every night.”

You turned your face away from the sky and pressed it into his chest to hide some of the embarrassment creeping up onto your cheeks. Even if he complimented you every minute of everyday, you would not grow used to it, simply because it was him who was paying you the compliment.

“So do you,” you smiled, looking up to him with your chin on his chest, “I- what was that?” you interrupted yourself, and Cedric began to laugh.

“Hold my hand,” he instructed, a boyish grin spreading across his face and igniting his childlike eyes, “Trust me!”

And so you did, as you always have and always would, trust him until you were no longer capable of anything. He seized your hand and took you running, running through the grounds of Hogwarts in the dead of night while raindrops pattered against everything it could touch. Cedric laughed, his eyes meeting yours, the only constancy as the world behind you became a blur. This, he would remember all his life.

Announcement

As an apology for my absence, I have decided to do a Winter Wonderland event throughout December!!

Every other day, starting from December 1st, I will be posting short works for Natasha Romanoff, Wanda Maximoff, Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower.

Each piece will be written around a specific Christmas or winter related prompt which I have already chosen for each character/au pairing. However I am more than willing to incorporate any ideas you guys may have for any prompt included!

"Ok, so, the red one right there at Orion's constellation... Do you see it? At the top on the left, right where his shoulder should be?"

Peter was trying to follow, truth was, astronomy had never been his forte, but you were such a good teacher that it didn't take him long to locate the tiny red dot on the sky you were pointing at.

"Oh, yeah! Yeah, I can see it. Over there, right?"

"Yup, that's the one" you confirmed, "That's Betelgeuse"

"Beetlejuice??"

"No, silly," You chuckled, "Betelgeuse. Sounds similar, tho"

"So, if I say Betelgeuse three times..."

"Nothing wil happen, I assure you" you turned your head to look at him, laying on the cool grass beside you, close enough to bask in the heat coming off his body, but far enough not to feel... Weird.

You both liked each other, that much was obvious, but you weren't sure either of you was ready for this new, exciting and fun thing between you to be something more than friendship.

Even if his profile did look gorgeously handsome under the moonlight.

"Bumer" He sighed, "I wanted to ask him for some fashion advice"

You snorted inelegantly. He thought it was the cutest thing he had ever seen.

"Of course you did. Right. Ok, now, look to the right, past Orion and into Taurus now" Peter had no idea where the taurus constellation was, but following the path your hand was drawing in the air, he was able to find another red dot, this one brighter. "That's Aldebaran"

"Got it"

"Right, so now, a little farther to the right, there is another red star, you see it? That's-"

"Mars!" He exclaimed, triumphally. He knew that one, "I know because it looks like a red star, but this one doesn't twinkle!"

"That's correct, mister Parker, ten points for Gryffindor!"

"Hey! I'll have you know, I'm a proud Hufflepuff"

"Wait, seriously? I'm a Ravenclaw!"

"No way! High five for the forgotten houses!"

None of you was actually looking, so he missed your palm completely, and somehow you managed to clock him on his shoulder.

"Ow!"

"Dude!"

Twin barks of laughter resonated in the night.

"Remind me to never high five you again" You wheezed.

"Noted" He gasped, dramatically clutching his shoulder. It was just for show, you knew how strong he actually was.

You turned to him again, sobering up.

"Thank you, Peter, I mean it. Without you, I would never be able to hang out on Central Park at night"

"Well," his tone was as warm as his brown eyes when he met yours, "that's what friendly neighbourhood spider-men are for: To keep their fellow Stark Industries interns safe when they wanna go stargazing in the middle of a lockdown. If it wasn't for you, it would have never occur to me that I could actually see the stars in New York..."

"Yeah, who would have thought it only took a global pandemic sending the entire city into quarantine for the air to clear out enough to see the stars?"

It was Peter's turn to snort,

"No one. A supervillain, maybe..."

Both of your faces fell at the same time, in realization.

"... Doctor Connors has been really quiet lately, don't you think?"
