Hasbro/WotC made a lot of promises after the OGL debacle and it looks like they're counting on us all to forget so they can get away with not doing that. It's important that we hold them accountable, cause this stuff is important stuff.

I encourage strategic combat, and don't feel that removing the things suggested slow it down too much, but I do like the Crit Rule.

I don't use random encounter tables, but if I did, I would use something that better represents a normal distribution (bell-shaped curve). Here's Bob World Builder, doing some simple maths to help you create those.
