The words escape Daisy in a whisper before she could stop them causing Bobbi to freeze for a moment before looking over at her.
Daisy runs a hand through her hair.
“Nothing I do is ever good enough, isn’t the right thing even though it does turn out to be the right thing and I even get blamed for things I didn’t do even they happened to me,” confesses Daisy.
Bobbi knew who’s the most responsible for Daisy feeling this way and it leaves an awful taste in her mouth.
Ever since she’s returned to Shield, she’s noticed things have changed.
Not for the better either.
She knows nothing she’ll say will help Daisy right now.
Moving over to their bed, she sits down next to Daisy then pulls her to her in a tight embrace.
Daisy curls up in her lap instinctively.
There aren’t any tears; Bobbi’s not surprised because this is a process but they will come – later but they will come and she’ll be there for Daisy.

Sneak-Peak:
Piper frowns, she is a Greek Goddess alright, but that doesn’t mean Piper was starstruck enough to not notice that she is wearing a knee brace, so what can May be-?
And then May leaves the ring, and in two seconds flat the blonde makes a lunge and with the leg that was supposed to be her “bad leg”, sweeps off Piper’s feet. She manages to jump back and avoid it at the last millisecond, but damn, that was fast, and for a second she can't help but wonder if the brace isn’t actually a bait to mislead her about Bobbi’s weaknesses.
“Nice reflexes.” There is a genuine smile on her lips but Piper can’t even return it: she is too busy dodging punch after punch. She is quickly realizing that her goal here it’s not going to be to beat her but to not get beaten embarrassingly quickly.
The mission was a complete fiasco despite the team accomplishing what they set out to do; that said, all Daisy wants to do is climb into bed with her partners and snuggle for the rest on the night.
Neither Bobbi nor Hunter were on the mission and she misses them when they’re not altogether.
It didn’t take her long to reach their room.
“Can we cuddle?” she asks.
Bobbi looks up from the book she’s reading and frowns at the sight.
“Of course, babe. Hunter will be back in a moment,” she responses.
Daisy smiles then drops her bag on the floor.
It takes her a few minutes to change out of her tact suit and clean up before throwing herself dramatically causing Bobbi to laugh.
The two women move to find a comfortable position for the both of them—Daisy with her head on Bobbi’s chest and an arm draped over her stomach while Bobbi has one arm around her back so she can run her fingers through the ends of Daisy’s hair while the other one rests on her hips.
Daisy sighs.
“I’ve missed you two, a lot,” she states softly.
“We missed you too, love,” comments Hunter as he enters the room.
The door closes behind him.
Daisy shifts slightly so she can hold out a hand to him.
Quickly crossing the room, he climbs onto the bed and spoons Daisy from behind causing her to let out a contented sigh.
This is where she belongs, she’s finally found the home she’s been searching for all of her life.
Hunter nuzzles his face against her neck.
“Next time you have a mission that takes you away for that long again, you’re taking us with you,” he mutters against her skin.
“Agreed,” comments Bobbi.
Daisy laughs in response.

“When we get back to thebase, I’m gonna kill Hunter. This is all his fault and he’ll have to suffer theconsequences,” mutters Bobbi angrily.
Jemma keeps an eye on her incase her blood pressure rises too high.
Hiking several milesthrough the woods because their ride abandoned them because of a fire fight isn’tsomething Jemma particularly enjoys; however, the company couldn’t be betterand if she has to be stuck with someone on this hide, there’s no one betterthan Bobbi. Though, May makes for a strong second choice.
So far, their hike to thenew pick up location hasn’t been too terrible, minus worrying over Bobbi’sblood pressure but that’s something Jemma can handle.
She really should haveknocked on wood.
“Are you kidding me? Is itreally starting to rain?” questions Bobbi as she stares up at the sky.
Jemma really can’t help herself;she chuckles at Bobbi’s behavior.
“A little drizzle never hurtanyone though should the drizzle change into something harder then we’ll needto find some shelter in order to wait it out,” comments Jemma.
Bobbi snorts.
“If that happens, I’mholding you personally responsible,” she states.
Jemma playfully rolls hereyes.
“If that happens, I’ll keep you warm.”
This gets a bright smileand an improved mood from Bobbi.
As if on cue, the rainstarts falling harder causing the two women to run beneath the trees to avoidthe falling water. They still have several miles to go until they reach the rendezvous point.
They’rein luck, stumbling onto an abandoned cabin.
“We’llbe able to dry out and wait the storm out here then make our way to where weneed to meet the others,” comments Bobbi.
Asmuch as Jemma’s opposed to breaking in and entering into a stranger’s cabin, herpractical side comes out and she knows this is better than being out in therain where one or both of them could fall deathly ill and or get injuredsomehow.
Bobbigets the fire going while Jemma looks for towels or something they could use todry off with.
Turningaround, Jemma freezes.
Bobbi’sin the middle of stripping down to her undergarments – shirt is off and she’sworking on her pants.
“Uh,wh-wh-what are you doing?” asks Jemma.
Bobbismirks.
“Weneed to get dry and dry our clothes and it’s easier to that when we’re not inthem. Besides, you said you’d keep me warm so...Come on, Jem. You don’t want tocatch a cold, now do you?”
Blushingslightly, Jemma never thought this would be happen but here she is, about to besemi-naked with her crush. Daisy can never find out because she’d never let herlive it down.
Jemmafollows Bobbi’s lead and removes her top, followed by her pants.
Theyhang their clothes on an improvised rack near the fire.
Bobbitugs Jemma down next to her on the rug in front of the fire place so they canfeel the heat of the fire to warm up.
“Ido have to say; this is less embarrassing than if I were stuck with someonelike Fitz or Coulson. I’d probably never be able to look Coulson in the eyeagain,” comments Jemma offhandedly.
“I’mhappy that I’m with you here too,” replies Bobbi.
Bringingher hand up to Jemma’s face, Bobbi wipes some of her hair out of her face thenstrokes her cheek gently with her thumb. Then she wraps her arm around Jemma’swaist and pulls her with her as Bobbi lays down backwards on the carpet.
Fora while, they simply lay there and listen to the rain hit the roof.
ThenBobbi’s phone goes off as the rain stops causing both women to groan.
“Guessthat’s our cue to get dressed and make our way to the meeting point,” comments Bobbi.
Bitingher lip, Jemma considers an idea.
“Wecould continue this later….in my room and on a comfortable bed,” she suggestshopefully.
Bobbigrins.
“Thisis why you’re the genius. Now, if there’s only something we can do to keepHunter from finding out and bugging us,” Bobbi responds.
“Payand or bribe Daisy to keep his distracted?”
“She’dhave the easiest time doing that, out of everyone.”
Jemmaraises an eyebrow at that.
“Youknow something. I’m not asking. You know something, Bobbi Morse.” Says Jemmafirmly.
“Ikick ass and I know things,” responds Bobbi with a smirk.
Ignoringher, Jemma grabs her close then pulls them on; thankfully, that they’reslightly drier than they were before. Bobbi follows suit and once they’redressed, they check for their things, put out the fire then leave the cabin.
Bobbigrabs Jemma’s hand in her own and gives it a squeeze.
24. “It’s six o’clock in the morning, you’re not having vodka.” Daisy x Bobbi
“It’s six o’clock in the morning, you’re not havingvodka.”
Daisy raises her right hand then gives Bobbi the birdbecause she’s not in the mood to deal with the other woman. The latest missionwent to hell in a handbasket and she hasn’t been back at the base for verylong.
Seeing the gesture, Bobbi frowns then crosses the room.
“Come on, Dais. This isn’t healthy for you and you knowit,” she states firmly.
Rolling her eyes, Daisy takes a sip of her glass.
“Yeah, well who asked you,” Daisy replies.
“I’m your friend and I’m concerned about you, that’swhat’s what.”
Bobbi pulls up a chair next to Daisy and looks at her, taking in the hunched shoulders and tired expression on her face. It sucks tosee one of the people she cares about look like this and knowing that there’snothing she can do to make it easier for Daisy except to be here for her.
Looking into the glass, Daisy tries to ignore herfriend’s presence.
Of course, she knows that Bobbi’s right but God, thisreally sucks that she can’t shake off the mission like usual.
Bobbi takes the glass and bottle away from Daisy easilybecause she’s really not in the mood to fight. Then she stands up from herchair.
“So, what do you suggest, Ms. Genius?” asks Daisy.
“Come with me and I’ll show you,” Bobbi answers as she holdsout a hand to Daisy.
Daisy looks between Bobbi and her hand a couple timesbefore taking the offered hand and stands up as well. She hopes Bobbi has some decentidea because she hates feeling this way and she really doesn’t want to bringdown the base with her powers.
Tugging on Daisy’s hand, Bobbi leads them out of thekitchen and back to her room.
“You need to sleep but it won’t do any good for you tosleep alone so the alternative is for you to sleep with me—I mean, sleep in mybed next to me,” says Bobbi, rubbing her free hand against the back of herneck.
Daisy raises an eyebrow and smirks.
“Damn. The first one would have definitely helped takemy mind off of what happened.”
Shaking her head, Bobbi tries to hide her smile becauseshe’d really like to do that but not when Daisy isn’t okay.
“Well, if you play your cards right and behave….”
At Bobbi’s response, Daisy’s eyes widen because shehadn’t been expecting that.
They reach Bobbi’s room and it doesn’t take them long toprepare for bed because Bobbi already wearing what she considers pajamas andDaisy changed into something comfortable when she got back to the base.
“You don’t have to do this, Bobbi. I know you were upall-night helping Simmons in the lab,” comments Daisy.
Bobbi sits next to her on the edge of the bed thenbrushes some hair out of her face.
“I know that I don’t have to, I want to.”
Ducking her head, Daisy tries to hide her blush becauseonly Bobbi gives her these warm and tingling feelings and she’s not sure how tohandle them.
“Come on, let’s get some sleep before May comes afterus for training.”
Daisy snorts.
Bobbi definitely has her mentor’s number when it comesto training.
Letting out a yawn, Daisy climbs under the blankets andmakes herself comfortable on the left side of the bed on her back; then shesmiles at Bobbi who’s laying on her side to look at Daisy.
