CONFRONTATION
Confrontation is a piece about the visceral self hatred part of recovery. About the inevitable, overwhelming feelings of shame and guilt that come with trying to be a better person. It isn't easy or comfortable to take accountability of your flaws. It can come with a desire to purge all the memories of hurting others, whether intentionally or not, to forget the moments you replay in your head at night thinking of how you could've done better. You want those feelings out of your body. Self reflection isn't about blaming yourself or living in the past, but those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
