9/5-(body pump & 5 miles) WELL I had myself a morning! It’s been a hot second since I’ve gotten in a 2 hour workout, but hey here we are! I signed up to take body pump at 6:30 this morning😂 I can’t make the nighttime or midday classes due to my schedule this semester so I have to make it work. When I got up I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go, but I told myself just go Emily you signed up. So I did!! And I’m really happy I went. I headed out the door with a 1.2 mile run to the gym. The weather was already humid & sticky even before the sun came up. Then I got to the gym, bought my class pass & got it started. It was an hour strength & weight lifting class. And honestly it made me feel pretty good about myself. Lots of squats, deadlifts, a ton of arm work & more. We basically worked every single muscle group so😂 I’m sure I’ll be feeling it tomorrow. Either way a fun class that I would like to start taking once a week!
Then I headed to the treadmill for some miles. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do in terms of running. I ended up doing some lighter intervals. My legs were feeling pretty heavy, but I still got it done. I averaged around 8:30 pace for three miles. I did the same quarter miles as a usually do, but made some a bit of a slower pace. After that I foam rolled & then jogged back to make it 5 miles! Overall a really good workout & im proud of myself for getting it done.
After that I ate some cinnamon overnight oats with Greek yogurt, frozen berries & cereal. I caught up on random emails and such, cleaned up my room for recuritment😅 & headed to my first class. Wednesday’s are my long & slightly painful day. After my first class I came back to the house lunch. Lunch was spinach & artichoke turkey burgers, fries & salad with quinoa. Tbh I mostly just ate the salad & had a little of the burger which was actually pretty good. Then I was off to talk to someone about study abroad, class & then another class. I had an hour break so I laid down for 15 minutes😅, cleaned the room & ate a snack. Then my last class of the day finally! After class I had dinner. Dinner was rice, some sort of chicken, carrots, naan bread & salad! Then I was off to run a meeting because the president couldn’t come😅 Straight from there I went to a 3 hour recruitment practice.
When my days are this busy I question why I loved freshmen year so much? Like wow I am exhausted! Another busy day tomorrow, but hopefully I’ll have time to get some work done since I slacked on that a bit today. I’m so exhausted so bye
Injury update: I had some back soreness during the class & slight tingling while running. I will see how I feel tomorrow in regards to the class. I had some tingling later in the day too...
Snacks: midday: apple & chocolate rice cake, desert: cereal & chocolate
Today I’m thankful for a good morning workout & breakfast because it’s the only me time I have all day
