It's been a long and arduous journey to meet this and I finally got to eat at Katsuya. The last time I went there, I arrived at 2:28 p.m., and as soon as I arrived, the owner took down the curtain. Before that, the restaurant was closed on the third Thursday of the month. Finally, we were able to eat at Katsuya. It was the last seat in a full house. All the other customers were ordering half noodles. I wondered if I should get the half noodle too, but ordered the full size. I thought about getting the chashu noodles, but decided to get the normal Chinese noodles. The washbowl-sized bowl and soft noodles are still there. The crisp soy sauce soup with dried bonito flakes (I guess) is still delicious. I could have eaten the whole thing in a basin-sized bowl. I'm glad I didn't go for the half noodle. Happy for 870 yen. The owner looked like he wasn't feeling well. I wonder if he's okay.
