I just need to know what this book was called please that’s all I came to tumblr for
The book in question: Read it around 2018-2019. Book might have been published around 2016, but maybe my mind just contoured that up.
Cover was a pale-ish pink, reddish, maybe even peach/orange. Think there was a girl with two swords posing on it, or no swords at all, leaning more to the right.
The main character’s (female) name started with an “N...” I think, or a “Na’...” (with an apostrophe I think). Her best friend’s (female) name perhaps started with an “R…”, and the best friend often trained with a dagger(? knife?) in a training area (I remember imagining it in a courtyard with orange-ish walls around it but that could just be how I visualized it). They sparred together at one point, and it described how well her best friend fought.
There might have been shapeshifters?
There was an evil villain dude, who might have wanted the main character, either for love or control.
The best friend almost got killed by a snake hiding in her room, which lunged from her trunk chest and had been underneath her silk/clothes? Main character saw it in time and Idk what happened.
The most distinct/important part I remembered was at the end, as climax/resolution, and a wedding took place. Throughout the course of the wedding, at the end of it, (I remember this part being quite long but I enjoyed it), almost every single character got up at one point in time and revealed their own secrets, each secret having an impact on certain characters or events. Don’t remember what they were, but almost from each character, like maybe 5+ twists and secrets that had been kept from each other. Her best friend had some secret kept from the main character.
please help me lol
How to Write a Good Title (Wattpad)
Titles are the portal to your book, and what determines if a reader decides to pick it up. Here are some things to consider when planning one out!
Wattpad is a huge platform with hundreds of thousands of books, so you want to make sure yours stands out! The first thing you should do is look at what other people’s books (in your genre) are titled. This can help you find similar themes that catch your reader’s attention. You don’t need to copy them, just keep them in mind.
Second, you should list some keywords in your book. You want words that give your reader a snapshot of what your book is about. For example, if you’re writing in the fantasy genre, you might include words like necromancy, fairies, adventure etc. Don’t worry about picking good words yet, because we’re just exploring the different paths your title could take.
As you’re exploring, try to think of any title that doesn’t start with “The, A, An” or any other article. It really limits what your title will look like, and there are so many books on Wattpad that begin like that. Write down every title you can think of, no matter how you feel about it yet.
Once you have a list, narrow it down by picking the shorter ones. Wattpad readers are usually on their phones, so if your title is super long it has a chance of being cut off. This might make readers skip over it instead of clicking on it to see the rest. (You can combat this with an appealing cover. If you’re interested, I have a post on that too!)
With your new list, you can play around with wording, synonyms, and literary devices to create the perfect title! Remember that titles are not an afterthought, they need time to develop just like any other part of your book. So don’t be discouraged, let it sit for a while. As always, happy writing!

please help me remember this book title
I’ve been racking my brain but I cannot remember the name of this book I read in college but I basically remember so much about the plot (minus names lol). It was super inclusive and I think it was written following a gofundme in 2016-2017.
Basically they’re on a mining ship. Main guy is run down captain. The main girl is the new crew member. There’s a red lizard person? Who is female but also doesn’t have a gender and her race is super sexual and falls in love with the new crew member. Also there’s a small guy who fixes the AI that runs the ship who he’s also in love with?
I really wish I could remember the name of this book and google isn’t helping. I want to say it’s something like “The Last Planet Before the...” or something like that. Please help.
Thanks!!!
