Yo quick reminder-
Troy Calypso spent his childhood trying to manage a father who had no idea how to deal with two kids with special needs, who saw Troy as a freak while doting on and loving his twin, and a controlling abusive sister who killed his mother.
When she eventually manipulates him into leaving his father behind and abandoning their home for the world she wants to live on through entrapment when he clearly didn't want to, he's immediately put to work crafting her persona to reach her goal of godhood, something she only aims for for herself and constantly lies to him about being included in.
He wants to be loved and have some form of control and value after the only two people he grew up knowing clearly don't have him as a priority, so constantly seeks validation from Tyreen rather than his followers as he values her.
He goes through a huge amount of character growth and changes, which point the plot towards him becoming powermad when he gets a taste of no longer being under his sisters control, and then suddenly dies pointlessly.
Troy's fathers response to being told he was dead was to say he was glad, becuse Troy had grown up to be a monster.
Troy's last words were desperately trying to console his sister who not only never heard him, but woke up and proceded to not give a flying fuck he had died.
He led a cult of 10 billion people who would kill their first borns just for a moments eye contact with their god king, and he never mattered once.
Night night :)
I tried to brighten the photo until we are able to see a little from Angel’s mom face
Gearbox really just ignored the fact that there were people living on Elpis, huh
