The Dimension Debacle Part 18
Wilhelm’s shoulder-mounted turret fires a slew of bullets along the ground up to Skies. She dives to the side, taking cover behind a planter, and fires back with her Atlas assault rifle. The bullets ping harmlessly against his shield as he marches forward.
Skies ducks back down, out of his gunfire, and reaches into her jacket. She’s pull out a small, octagonal device with blue lines running from a blue button in the middle- an EMP. She activates it on a timer and throws it towards Wilhelm. It slides along the floor and stops by his foot before going off.
Wilhelm freezes and convulses as an electrical jolt shoots up his body. His entire left side gives out, including his turret, and he collapses to one knee, struggling to hold himself upright with his right arm.
“Guess just one of those isn’t strong enough to take out your whole body,” Skies muses as she stands. “Oh well. I’ll take what I can get.”
From her jacket she produces four grenades and whips them at Wilhelm. His shield takes the explosions but remains intact. Through the smoke, Skies leaps at him, all of the blades extended on her right arm.
Wilhelm lifts his hand to try and catch her, but she climbs over it, mounts his shoulder, and proceeds to punch at him with her bladed fist.
Wilhelm can only watch, unable to throw her off, as his shield takes the blows, steadily losing integrity. Finally, with a shout of exertion, Skies smashes through his shield and cracks him across the face.
At that exact moment, his robotic body finishes rebooting and his left side springs back to life. He grabs Skies, his large hand wrapping around her thin abdomen, and throws her across the room. She rolls as she hits the floor, minimizing the damage, and skids to a stop in a crouch.
The two cyborgs stand up and face off again, but this time Wilhelm is not alone. Surveyor drones begin to digistruct around him to a total of 20. Skies spits with annoyance as she draws her Hyperion pistol from its hip holster and her Jakobs revolver from her jacket. She cocks them, one in each hand, as the drones fly at her.
