To the people who were apart of the Boston straight pride parade,
Your “straight pride” is and was not needed you know why? You got to show your pride and love everyday of your life, you have not been questions, beaten, killed nor harass for your sexuality.
Your “straight pride” has always been there because you’ve always been accepted by everyone. You don’t need Milo fucking Yiannopoulos or how ever the duck you spell his name to be there and talk about how you deserve this “pride” and “have always been as oppressed as the lgbtq”. Your pride has been there since the beginning of time itself and it has been proven time and time again that you have been the more loved and superior “Sexuality”
To the BPD and other cops what ever other law enforcement that was at the Boston straight pride parade,
The counter protester who were understandably there protesting(the counter protesters were all either members or allies of the lgbtq) all of them were peaceful, the most “dangerous” that they got was chanting “End white supremacy” and “go home Alt-right scum” so loud that you couldn’t hear Milo whatever the fuck his last name is speak.
So why start arresting counter-protesters, why pepper-spray them, use tear gas and mace, start beating them in the streets so bad that people couldn't walk. You had a group of police beat a man nearly to death and then had officers carry him away each holding one of his limbs because he brought a plastic shield to protect himself.
You never have this type of protection for the normal Pride Parade when the anti-lgbtq protesters get on the street and start harassing people of the lgbtq pride.
Officer: “How far?”
Me: “All the way.”
I guess that wasn’t the answer he was expecting, but I figured why go through a Q & A when I could just let him know what he wanted to hear.
Me: “I’m a sucker for a Boston accent.”
Officer: “You a swallower for one too?"
Me: “Uh-huh.”
Well, if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
