I was so tired today. Both mentally and physically. I really didn’t want to go to the gym. I wanted to hide inside my house, which scared the living hell out of me. That is something I would have done before, during a time in my life when I didn’t want to keep breathing.
So, it was SO IMPORTANT that I forced myself to go. Just as it will be important that I go to work tomorrow. I can’t go backwards. I am mentally ill, and my recovery is too important for me to go back now in my recovery.
So, here is the evidence to myself that I beat back the anxiety and depression today, and that I can do so tomorrow.
Take things one day at a time. I still need a lot of help, but I am better than I was, and that makes me proud.
