KEEP THEM TRENDING
With HP being high priority on the BDS’s official boycott list, I suggest you buy your ink from a 3rd party if you have an HP printer. House of Toners is where I go for my remanufactured ink but there are plenty of businesses that sell remanufactured ink. Support these businesses, not a multibillion dollar corporation profiting off of genocide
Just the centaur guys from hp. There’s literally no evidence that Firenze and Magorian are brothers but yk what this is my headcanon and no one can take it away from me
(I know no one cares about them but I do so)
BOYCOTT FOR PALESTINE
FOA (Friends of Al-Aqsa) have organized a boycott in support of palestine.
Here are the key companies to boycott:
HP (Hewlett Packard) provides hardware and services for the Israeli Prison Service and the Israeli police who enforce apartheid on Palestinians within Israel.
Coca-Cola operates on stolen Palestinian land by having a factory in Atarot, an illegal israeli settlement. These Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. Coca-Cola is defying international law.
Israeli produce should be left on all shop shelves. When shopping always #CheckTheLabel to make sure you don't accidently buy any produce labelled from 'Israel'.
PUMA sponsors the Israel Football Association (IFA) and the Israeli national team. The IFA manages several football teams in illegal Israeli settlements, built on stolen Palestinian land.
We encourage all our supporters to focus on boycotting these 3 companies and to #CheckTheLabel on produce, to be more effective in ending Israeli apartheid. We aren't saying other companies aren't complicit, but we need to be targeted and strategic to make a boycott successful, just how we have been in the past with South Africa.
Please help to spread the word.
for refrence, here's some of the brands coca-cola owns from what i could tell, but it is still a good idea to check the labels
I just want us to ask ourselves as often as we can, what we are willing to sacrifice for the people of this world. what are you willing to risk, to give up, to change? how much personal comfort, how much money, how much social power/social stability, etc.
I think a lot about what is necessary to help the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - bc Free Congo yes but from what? because really, it's from us. our overconsumption of new tech, our obsession with it. will we be boycotting new tech together? changing our consumption habits? getting our electronics (phones, laptops, etc) fixed or getting them used instead of buying new? until children don't die for us to get the shiny new thingymabob?
so much solidarity will necessitate that kind of personal 'sacrifice' as it were, and some of it will be harder than just Not getting the new iphone. I hope that things are changing and as they do, we have to let go of this hyper individualistic attachment to personal comfort at any cost. don't want my personal comfort to come at expense of any person.
my fellow artists/creatives - if you do not make it clear that you make art for the people (as it were,) rest assured that it will be used against them. unfortunately our art does not exist in a vacuum of love and good vibes. we are complicit in many ways in so many unspeakable things. paying taxes to govts that fund genocide, countries that began with it, overconsumption habits at the expense of black and brown poeple globally, the list goes on. I think it's important that we make it clear where we stand.
idk what else to say I want this to come acorss earnestly - I just feel so heartbroken at the level of apathy everywhere. individualism that is unyielding and unwilling to sacrifice any personal comfort/capital. I am haunted by everything that could be done that isn't being done simply bc it is inconvenient. when the cost of it is tragedy beyond comprehension. the loss of innocent lives.
