Nobody talks enough about how important it is to have characters who are like you in media, especially in stories that aren't specifically about the mental health issues/disabilities that represent you
There was such an indescribable amount of joy when I got to that first Renarin chapter in Wind and Truth. He is me, and I am him, sure we may have differing levels of masking, but the overall principle is the same. I know for a fact that I've thought almost word for word some of the things he's saying or thinking in there.

Brandon Sanderson: [Discussing the various languages of Roshar and saying he would need his wiki to go into more depth]

I wonder when branderson realized he wasn't just writing an epic fantasy but one of the most beautiful stories about dealing with mental health and recovery and healing also
- Dalinar freeing the bridge crews
Discussion in Wind and Truth about a soldier who loves his country despite its policies punishing him arguably unfairly.
a dear friend bought me a puzzle of the map of Roshar for my birthday and I have spent over a week doing it.
It has become one of the most enjoyable projects I've done, while also becoming the bane of my existence.
ITS JUST OCEAN. ALL THE PIECES ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SHADES OF BLUE. ITS KIND OF LIKE PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE.
this being said, the actual map part was great fun, and I've been listening to Stormlight as I do it, which has really solidified my knowledge of the different places.
Will update when it's done!
