Sometimes deity offerings are like "I bought this thing specifically for you" or "I did a ton of research and learned that this is one of your favorites, I hope you like it"
And then other times it's like "I'm going to offer Brigid/Hekate/The Morrigan a 3 Musketeers candy bar because they're a triple goddess hehe"

Hey, I have a question about something you may not know the answer to. I was told once that Brigid has two representations. One that is much more intense and tends to demand a lot more, and another that is calmer and more prone to giving and caring. I believe the person said that the difference is between Brig and Brigid. I would love to know your thoughts on this, or if you know anything about this interpretation?
Caveat, this was a concern someone brought up over me working with Brigid from a person who had worked with her before and has been a pagan for half a century.
Anyways, thank you for your blog. It's such a nice spot to land and is so refreshing <3

Hello! Thank you for the nice comments, I appreciate it.
I'm not sure about this one. I can certainly believe that Brigid's got a few different faces - she's been worshipped/worked with by a variety of cultures across Celtic Europe for a long time, so it makes sense for there to be different iterations with different qualities, in much the same way that people work with Mama Mary under different banners. So while people may call her Brigid, Brighid, Brigit, Brig, Braid, Brigantia, etc., it's all referring to the same being.
Based on what I know about Brigid's various mythos (and I could be wrong here, so take this with a grain of salt), I'd say I work most closely with her Irish/Welsh iteration, who's focused on creativity, hearthcraft, and natural works, but the person you were talking to works with her in her Scottish/Anglican form, who's more focused on victory in battle and smithwork. That being said, the Lady is more than capable of filling all of her roles no matter which iteration of her you're working with.

Not to be annoying but...
I don't understand how anyone working with, or worshipping, or devoting themselves to a creative artistic goddess like Brigid can use genAI.
She's a goddess of poets and artists and you won't even put the effort into creating for yourself? You would let a machine secrete a sad mockery of creativity and present it to her? Or gods forbid make AI images of her?!
I can't speak for a goddess but I feel this is true.
Brigid weeps at the death of creativity, and AI is the plague bringing that death.
