Brid the Healer by Jim Fitzpatrick
Sunset bleeds where her altar lies,
Sun bows to shadow through ancient skies,
Her flame endures, though daylight dies.
Hail Brigid 🔥
Three lights are of Brighid: firelight, twilight, and starlight.
Three lights are of Brighid: the light in the home, the light in the mind, the light of truth.
Three lights are of Brighid: the light of the hearth, the light of realization, the light of hope.
I gave into the idea. I kinda love this sm. I'm offering it to Brig. I hope she likes it as much as I do
Where are they going? Wrong answers only
Crow/Raven flew past my face today… What should I make of that?… .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧
Hello! Would love some answers regarding this from those who are devotees of The Morrigan. I’ve been increasingly interested in Celtic deities, and I’ve been doing a lot of research about them lately.
Mostly I’ve been reading about Danu & Brigit, and I’ve only briefly looked into The Morrigan. Just some baseline research on who she is and watching videos by devotees of her’s on TikTok.
I thought I was going to be more interested in serving Brigit, but something interesting happened today. While I was leaving the store with my son strapped to my chest, a big black bird swooped right in front of my face. The bird couldn’t have been more that 6 inches from my face, and I was really surprised they didn’t hit my son.
Normally, I would have freaked out a little bit, but I was surprisingly calm when this happened. I didn’t even flinch. The bird landed gracefully a few feet away from me and just stood there. I kept walking, but I turned to look at them and it felt like the bird was eyeing me.
Now, I’m really not a bird expert by any means. I know it had to be a raven or a crow based on size and look, but I have a hard time making the distinction between the two.
My question is two-fold. For those who are knowledgeable about corvids, how can you tell the difference between a crow and a raven? Also, bonus question, is that normal behavior for one of these birds? Now, for those who are devotees of The Morrigan, do you think this was a sign from her? Is she possibly trying to reach me? It’s a very exciting prospect, and I would love to hear your thoughts!
