This is another idea for a fic but I can't decide between devastated / bittersweet / hopeful ending, the only thing I have decided it's that is not exactly a happy ending per se (soulmate au gone wrong)

Little observations: Not sure if I should make it a permanent thing but the fact that every Sanji's touch is repel by Usopp since... the incident. In this particular case is to represent the continuous effort of Sanji to be closer and closer meanwhile Usopp does little to no effort to try it, why would he? It was Sanji's wish to begin with, but also because he actually can't do it, even if he wanted it, can't feel like before, there are consequences for messing with one's own emotions and that is something no one can reverse, the damage is already done. They will have to live with that, the question is: will they be able to still stay together or not?

It’s his fault. It’s all his fault. Izuku didn’t know what to do or how to help now, why did he have to be the reason Bakugo lost his fighting spirit? He didn’t understand, why would someone useless have such a impact on someone like Bakugo? Bakugo made it clear before countless times that he saw izuku as just a stepping stone to his goal so why would he let this stop him? was he really going to throw all that away for stupid, useless Deku?

Depends on your AU, don’t need all the hcs in the same AU you can pick and choose or have none at all!

How is a Bond broken:

Both parties agree to breaking bond. 

The dominant partner breaks the bond. 

Death of a partner.

Too long being apart, usually forcibly separated.

Effects:

Lingering scents, and fading bond marks. Panic attacks at the slow but steady change in their environment. 

Change in body. Since they are now single and their body lets others know and tries to attract a new mate. 

If they have pups, arrangements are needed to be made for the pups. 

Learning to love oneself, and then allowing someone new into their life (if they want someone new, it’s okay to be single!) 

In Some AU’s, the bond mark fades but doesn’t completely disappear. So they now have to deal with the constant reminder of their past mates.

hey prof, what would a couple's reaction to having their bond forcibly broken? like say one of their parents don't approve and separate the two?

Hello!! 

I’d say it’d feel like a limb is being rip off.  

They’d have to be separated for a long period of time, so the new bond has little to no time to strengthen the bond.

Depends on the AU, the bond may or may not be reparable. 

Don’t expect these lovers to go back to normal, mentally, emotionally, or physically. They may become numb and distant.  They may or may not get better. 

Depending on the AU, they may or may not be able to bond to another mate so soon after their previous bond.

Going off that, depending on the AU, some do not want a mate who has had a broken bond. Thus they may be seen as “broken”.
