Thoughts on the 2017 Beauty and the Beast remake?

When I first saw it, I didn’t hate it? I don’t really have strong feelings about the live action remakes, but of course the original always stand superior. After rewatching the 1991 however… the 2017 remake is Not Great. I’m not a fan of Emma Watson, and it just didn’t have the “wow” factor that the original has. The 1991 has so much beauty and exuberance, and the 2017 one just feels as if it’s trying to copy, but with non of the spice. Like trying to copy a Bob Ross painting, but having straw for brushes. Watson’s voice was too auto-tuned, the costuming was lacking, and Dan Stevens underdelivered.
