Hi, @thevikingwoman! thank you so much for the ask. You've probably picked my two favorite projects out of the line up, so thank you!! <3

The Brother and the Bowman is my original fantasy novel. It follows Darius, prince of the Nurans and avid archer, in his quest to avenge his younger brother's death at the hands of the neighboring country, the Rhinns. When he and his father conquer the Rhinnish capital, they imprison the Rhinnish royal family... all, that is, except Prince Ardan. He escapes and is presumed dead.

Except he isn't, and he wants his kingdom back.

Ardan infiltrates the palace, contacting his sister. They plot together to overthrow the Nurans, in a tale of court intrigue, redemption, and enemies-to-lovers.

This is 'Brunhildr 2,' a page from the new edition of my opera coloring book, for Wagner's opera, Die Walküre. I based Brunhildr's appearance on descriptions from the Norse sagas and valkyrie amulets/carvings. Her horse's bridle is based on a real bridle from Birka. I'm not quite done, but we're getting close <3

Valkyria: Azure Revolution ‘Brunhildr’ Character Trailer Released

Brynhildr, wip.

The upcoming book “The Illuminated Edda” will include the sagas about the hero Sigurd, the dragon Fafnir, and the rebellious Valkyrie named Brynhildr. This story was so epic that Wagner created an entire opera about it. It’s also one of the founding narratives that inspired JRR Tolkein to invent the One Ring. In fact, it’s the catalyst for the most popular adventure in Fate of the Norns - Fafnir’s Treasure.

In “The Illuminated Edda” you can expect full-color illustrations by me and a dramatic narrative from Andrew Valkauskas.

The video is almost done, we’re getting very close to the launch of “The Illuminated Edda”. We hope to see you on-board for some day 1 momentum. We’ll have some early-bird pledge levels which pack added value for those who swing by right after the Kickstarter launches.
