Fear death. Fear slaughter.
Should death toy with an innocent soul, I shall thusly spill into the harbor of sorrow.
for some reason these two panels having akutagawa drawn at almost the exact same angle in the same pose but with completely opposite expressions and things he's saying makes me foam at the mouth. harukawa (+ asagiri) you can't do this to me
*cackles in validation* Hey. Hey guys. Is Atsushi the bookmark because he’s the protagonist of the story and thus the page is marked depending on his phase of the journey, or is he the protagonist because he is the bookmark, where his very existence necessitates him becoming a catalyst so the story can unfold and be read in linear time?
Everyone. Do you realize what this boy is begging for? Do you even fathom the weight of what he just asked?
This is the same boy who declared the lengths he'd go to in order to live wholeheartedly.
And now he's begging to die. Just to save his friends. The only people he can call family. Without even an ounce of hesitation.
The devastation in his eyes. The desperation in his voice. I can't take it anymore-

Coping theory: Akutagawa does remember who Atsushi is, however upon seeing him crying and begging at Fyodor's feet he decided to say "Who the hell are you?" because his weretiger doesn't know when to quit and will keep fighting no matter what.
Therefor, when Atsushi inevitably joins the fight to help Akutagawa, he's going to look over at him and say "There you are, weretiger."
