He's quick to put his hand on your shoulder and squeeze it reassuringly…reminding you that he's here, with you—there's nowhere else he'd rather be!
Edward Nygma, the Riddler, adores you and only you. Only you have solved the enigma that can be his heart…and no one else.
Him referring to his heart as a puzzle made you giggle a little, but it did make you feel special!

I don't know why but I feel like given what he's been through in Arkham, Jervis is a fairly light sleeper.
So, he jolts from bed when he hears what he can swear is weeping…his heart breaks when he sees your awake. Your back is toward him, but he can hear you sniffling, no doubt trying to wipe your tears…
Jervis' heart practically shatters when you tell him what your nightmare was about…Him? Ch-cheating on you?
His arms were around you in an instant, his head nestled in the crook of your neck and shoulder…
Jervis begins whispering reassurances in your ear. His arms tightening around your waist periodically.
He…he could never? Why would he ever? You know how much you mean to him…no one could even remotely compare…
Eventually, your nerves were able to calm down and your tears stopped…but his affections didn't stop.
He kissed your tear-stained cheeks, he caressed your face as you both settled back into bed. Jervis whispering how much he loves you—

While Jonathan yearns to be the harbinger of nightmares to many…he never wants you to suffer from them or any fears in general.
He wakes up because he hears you, tearfully, crying out his name—yet your eyes were still closed…
When your eyes slowly blink open, Jonathan worriedly asked what's wrong…
Jonathan was in complete shock when you shakily explain you had a nightmare about him cheating on you…
He brought you into his arms, his hand caressing your back up and down.
Jonathan tells you how he could never leave you, no one could remotely hold a candle to you…to understand him and love him for all his faults as you do…He would be an absolute fool to ever cheat on you or leave you…
Hearing Jonathan be so…vulnerable and open with his feelings…not only was it…reassuring but it also just made you fall in love with him all over again…

Oswald was stirred awake when his hand didn't meet your waist like it would many nights before.
Instead, it met your thigh, you were propped up in bed, breathing shakily and drinking some water.
When Oswald asked what was wrong…you were reluctant to answer…it was just a nightmare…but Oz thought it might make you feel better to talk about it.
He was shocked that your mind was so cruel as to conjure up such a scenario…
But he comforts you, takes your hand and clasps his hands around it.
Oswald couldn't imagine anyone else's laugh or smile he'd rather hear or see…he dreams about a life with you until he leaves this earth.
You've shown him such devoted and unconditional love…he wouldn't dare throw that away for anyone or anything.
After sharing a sweet kiss, you were able to go back to sleep and sleep peacefully with the one you love by your side.
I was just binge rereading your BTAS headcanons from *checks watch* two years ago, and I was wondering. The proposal headcanons were adorable, but what if when the rogues drop to one knee…reader also drops to one knee. Turns out both the rogue and the reader ended up planning to propose at the exact same time! Cuteness and laughter ensue.

- When he's with you, he really just wants to spend the day with you…which doesn't come to pass as he hoped.
- You almost seemed to he dodging him somehow—running errands, saying you'll be late, asking if he can come meet at your place instead…very odd.
- Edward tries not to let it upset him…the idea you may have possibly forgotten it…
- Until he walks through the door and you and a bunch of his previous henchmen shout out "surprise!"
- Congrats on actually getting one over on Mr. Nygma himself—he will never forget this day and the time and effort you put into his special day…
- Now he's gotta think of what to do for your birthday.

- Jervis was often used to working through his birthday…

- Jonathan always kept himself busy in some sort of lab, so it was easy for you to set everything up, practically under his nose.

Sure, assisting a highly wanted criminal of Gotham City was…not the safest most stable line of work.
Your main objectives were to keep tabs on The Riddler's records and finances…as well as do some…research on any potential adversaries he was targeting that day.
The way you saw it: work was work…it kept a roof over your head…bills paid…
And it didn't hurt that your boss was absolutely adorable.
Honestly, half the fun on the job was flustering him.
The Riddler, Edward Nygma is an intelligent, charming, and clever man…who you had wrapped around your finger.
Something you loved to brag about, but he would vehemently deny while his head was turned to the side to hide his blushing face.
Today, you got under his skin rather efficiently.
From fixing the lapels of his green suit and your quick-witted inuendo like responses…you made the enigmatic rogue a flustered exasperated mess.

There’s also a sort of calmness you provide with your presence that Jonathan longs for now that you’re away.
The only reason it takes Jon so long to seek you out is because of the inner turmoil between his longing for you and his pride to be able to be by himself.
When you return before he has a chance to go after you, he’s ecstatic!
Jon will definitely go out of his way to talk you into staying and not having to go back wherever you came from…
Please don’t let him go through that internal struggle again…it’s more debilitating and distracting than he’d like to admit.

Oswald and you are likely used to a long-distance relationship, considering how often he’s incarcerated at Blackgate.
However, when it’s you who’s away from him, it’s vastly different…
At least he’s in the same city limits as you!
Oswald tries what he can to get you to stay in Gotham with him…
He can’t bear the idea of you somewhere where he can’t reach you…can’t see what you're doing…
Much like the dork squad, envy rears its ugly head when Oswald thinks of the possible suitors trying to woo you while he isn’t around to make his claim.
Once you two are brought back together, whether from a surprise visit from you or him seeking you out, he will do whatever it takes to get you back home where you belong.
