✨ BTS x Reader Interactive Story – Your Input Needed! ✨
Hey everyone! I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a BTS x Reader interactive story, something that will grow over time on my page, it'll allow you all to shape the story through choices, branches, and different endings.
I'm still deciding on whether or not each BTS member would have their own route or if I would continue to include you all in a potential poll vote each update to help decide on which next potential route to take, leading to good, bad, and even secret endings based on the choices made. But right now, this idea is still in the brainstorming phase—which means everything is still up in the air!
Before I dive into anything, I’d love to hear your thoughts and get your input on which direction you’d love to see this go!
Here are a few foundation ideas I’ve been considering:
1️⃣ Behind the Spotlight – The reader works at BigHit (as a photographer, stylist, PR staff, etc.), giving a behind-the-scenes look into their world. Balancing professionalism with personal connections becomes a challenge.
2️⃣ Serendipity – A more casual setting where the reader meets BTS by chance (coffee shop, bookstore, neighbor, etc.), leading to unexpected friendships (or more).
3️⃣ Colliding Worlds – The reader is an artist, dancer, or songwriter collaborating with BTS on a project. Creative passion, tension, and deep conversations ensue.
4️⃣ The Spotlight Test – The reader is a contestant in a reality show or competition, where BTS are judges, mentors, or fellow contestants. The pressure is on, but so are new connections.
✨ But nothing is set in stone yet! ✨
This is still very much in the idea stage, so I’d love to know what excites you the most or if you have a unique twist or idea you'd love to see in an interactive BTS story. Any and all input is appreciated!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and if this idea picks up, it could turn into something really fun for all of us to enjoy together!
Jin was your older brother's best friend, and he's been around for as long as you could remember. You assumed he thought of you as your brother did, just the little girl who always hung around. That didn't stop you from growing a crush on him, how were you not supposed to crush on him, he was handsome, could cook, could clean and he was funny. All boy paled in comparison to him. However, you knew that you would get nowhere with him, so you tried to go out with as many people as you could in hopes to find someone who was at least half as decent as the man you've had a crush on. Luckily enough, you met someone who treated you well and decided to put your faith in him. Unfortunately, you found he was seeing more than just you because you were not an official thing.
Your brother was the one who picked you up from your date with him, you were surprised he understood you because you were crying so much. He apologized for not being a better brother and looking out for you, he also told you not to tell Jin about this stupid boy because he'd lose it. After a while you were over being rejected and decided to join your brother and Jin at a house party. However, you had not expected the boy who rejected you to also show up at the party. You were sticking with Jin like you always did and your brother was off somewhere trying to woo girls. Suddenly the boy walked over to you "You know I've been thinking about your confession," he said causing your eyes to widened and your cheeks to redden. Jin raised an eyebrow interested "You were better than any girls I could get with," he said.
You looked at Jin, "Is this your brother?" the guy questioned turning towards Jin, "Close enough," Jin replied before patting the top of your head, looking at the guy "If she gives you her heart, don't you break it," Jin said before excusing himself from the two of you. If you didn't know Jin as well as you did, you would think he was fine, but Jin likes to have attention on him, so for him to just leave like that was suspicious. "I was thinking we'd become something more serious," the guy said trying to pull your attention back towards him, but you were already miles away in your head. "I'm sorry, but my heart already belongs to another," you told him before trailing after Jin to find that he had somehow found your brother and dragged him off to the side somewhere. You didn't mean to sneak up on them, honestly, from growing up with you they should expect you to be listening around the corner. Some boys never learn.
"You didn't tell me she started dating," Jin muttered running his fingers through his hair "It's her business," your brother replied shrugging his shoulders "Besides if you wanted her to yourself then you should tell her," your brother said before walking off. You felt your heart beat rapidly, not believing what your brother was insinuating. There was no way Jin liked you, right? He turned around the corner and jumped back slightly, scared "Why are you always sneaking up on me like that?" he questioned in a whiny voice. "Because I like you the best," you replied in a shy voice, and he tried his best to hide how pleased he was to hear this but you knew him better than that. "You know, oppa, I don't think there are any suitable men in my age range," you complained and he picked up on your hint easily "Then go out with me," he replied confidently causing you to smile "I would love to."
Yoongi
You had gotten so sick and weak, but that wasn't going to stop you from going to a work party. For the first half of the work party no one could even tell you were feeling under the weather, but when you had let the first drink sit for a while, people could tell you were not feeling your best. The most noticeable thing was that you were near tears, but you had a smile on your face indicating you were fine, right? You also were shivering, but to the touch you were burning. One of your co-workers had taken the initiative to take your phone off of you and call someone to come and pick you up from the party. Waiting outside you saw a familiar car pull up and a face you hadn't seem in a while from inside. You climbed into the car without a word spoken between the two of you.
He didn't have to touch your forehead to know you were sick, it was written all over your face. He handed you a sweatshirt which you gratefully put on before driving off towards your home. You didn't know what was but you were able to fall asleep nearly instantly and only woke up when you heard soft voices. When you came to your senses you realized you were now laying in your bed, you opened your eyes to see Yoongi talking to the guy you had started seeing "She always has trouble falling asleep, I find that cuddling under the sheets helps her feel more at ease," Yoongi said to your now lover. Tears welled in your eyes because you didn't want Yoongi to leave again. "She'll love you, if you love her," Yoongi said pulling his hood up before shoving his hands in his pockets to leave, and as soon as he disappeared you bolted to sit up.
"Honey?" your lover asked walking to the side of the bed, but you just started crying uncontrollably, not being able to formulate words. He seemed to lost, rubbing your back and pulling you into a hug, but it did nothing to help ease you. Eventually he got up and left the room and you fell over back in bed as you continued to cry. It wasn't long before you heard two pairs of footsteps coming back into your room. "Sit up for me," you recognized the voice and did exactly what he asked, and he sat down on the bed next to you. You fell into his lap and wrapped your arms around his waist, and he ran his hand up and down your back. Instantly you felt better and begun to calm down, getting your now lover to laugh "She'll love you, if you love her, huh?" he questioned.
"You must love her," the guy said shoving his hands in his pocket, "Because she obviously loves you," he said shaking his head. "I'm-" "It's okay, we went on a few dates man, I don't know what went on between you, but I know it's rare," he said before taking his leave, so only the two of you were left. "What am I going to do with you?" Yoongi questioned in a teasing voice and you sighed "Just don't leave me," You replied nuzzling into him. He didn't say anything for a moment "How can I refuse when you ask like that?" he replied shaking his head.
Hoseok
You chewed on your lower lip hoping to keep yourself silent and not crying, not wanting your dance coach to yell at you again. Unfortunately, you were not so good at controlling your emotions and your tears slowly flowing down your cheeks. Your dance partner walked over to you and sighed "Get it together, everyone has it equally as hard," your partner said crossing his arms over his chest, which only made it harder for you to get it together because now there was pressure for you to get it together. The next thing you knew Hoseok walked over towards the two of you to see what was going on. "She's crying over not being able to get one part down," Your partner scoffed explaining the situation to Hoseok, but he wasn't looking at him, he was looking at you.
His hand went to the top of your head, gently stroking your hair back, continuing to do so over and over while looking towards your partner. "You never thought about comforting her instead of being a dick?" he questioned causing your partner to become red with embarrassment "Switch partners with me," Hoseok said pointing his thumb towards his partner, who was way out of your partners skill level "But-uh-" "Go," Hoseok said not giving your partner the option. He walked off and Hoseok looked towards you "What part are you struggling with?" he questioned in a lot kinder voice than he was previously using. You explained to him which part was causing you trouble, and the two of you practiced it together and eventually with his guidance you were able to get it down.
"I bet I look a mess," you said knowing that your eyes were red from crying and now you were also sweating. "You look pretty," Hoseok answered with the same thing he has been saying since the two of you had become partners today. It was almost as if he was telling you it over and over so you would never forget it. The two of you continued practice and through his coaching, the two of you were in complete sync with each other, doing the dance perfectly. You could see your old partner across the room getting scolded by his new partner and you couldn't help but feel a little smug about it. You were feeling a whole lot better by the end of the practice than you did at the beginning and you could only assume it was because of your new partner.
"Can I buy you a drink or something?" you asked Hoseok as the two of you were packing up to go home "Are you asking me out on a date?" he questioned and your cheeks turned bright red "I-I just thought I owed you one for being so nice today," you explained. He give you a little smirk "Pity, I was kind of hoping you were," he said standing up pulling his bag over his shoulder, he winked at your embarrassed state "I'll see you at the next one," he said before heading off. You caught his arm before he could get too far "I-It is a date... If you want it to be," you said shyly and he chuckled "Then I'll be buying you the drinks," he said before the two of you headed out of the building.
Namjoon
Namjoon had never thought about dating. Not that no one ever appealed to him, he was just far too busy to even think about dating. You knew this about Namjoon, but you told yourself that if there ever came a day Kim Namjoon decided he wanted to date someone, that someone was going to be you. The first part of your plan was just becoming a dear friend of his who he hung out with whenever he had time, never making him feel pressured or obligated to hang out with you, instead making it so that when he spent time with you, he wanted to. Everything was going quite well, you actually saw him quite often and he referred to you as one of his dearest friends.
The boys were having a house party since they had recently moved out of their dorms together, each of them into their own homes. You had spent most of the night patrolling Namjoon's new house, trying to see his personality come out in his decor, while the rest of the party hung out in the living room and kitchen area. You weren't trying to make sure your appearance was known like some of the other girls were, you were just content to be invited personally by Namjoon. When you walked back into the living room you heard Namjoon talking to Yoongi somewhat away from the crowd "I think it's time I find someone," he explained to his older member and you couldn't help but smile, excited to see where this would lead to.
Yoongi contemplated what Namjoon had said before speaking "Tell me about Y/n," Yoongi asked taking a sip of his drink. "Y/n? Uh well- she loves pop songs and dancing, and bad trash TV," Namjoon said and Yoongi watched as he smiled "And there's a few other things... Uh she likes little notes and babies and likes giving gifts," Namjoon said causing your cheeks to turn bright red. "For someone so bright- you're kind of an idiot," Yoongi said before walking off, leaving Namjoon scratching his head. You took this moment to slide yourself into the spot Yoongi had left "What are you doing all alone over here? This is your house and party," you teased him, acting as if you hadn't been listening into their conversation.
"Well, I was talking to Yoongi-hyung, but I guess the conversation was over in his mind," he explained motioning to Yoongi who was now sitting on the couch looking at his phone. "Well, I've been told I'm a better listener than Yoongi, maybe I could help," you said smiling up at him, a fond look crossed his face as he looked over you "Actually, maybe you can," he said before placing his hand on top of your head. You gave him a confused look even though you probably could've guessed what he had meant by that. "Are you free tomorrow? I want to pick out a few new things for the house and I could use your opinion," he said and you smiled "Yeah I'm free, what do you need to get?" you asked him innocently "I was hoping you could pick out a few things that you'd like to have here when you visit," he replied.
Jimin
You knew whatever boyfriend you ended up with was going to hate Jimin. You couldn't even blame whoever it was either because sometimes the line between friends and lovers is blurred when you and Jimin are together. He liked to flirt with you and over the years you've learned that most effective thing is to just flirt back with him. It was the way you two teased and joked around with each other. Luckily, your most recent boyfriend had taken a liking to Jimin, they seemed to get along quite well, the only thing is they kind of had rivalry over your attention and who you liked the best. All three of you knew you liked Jimin the most since he's been your friend for years, but that's not what you're supposed to tell your boyfriend of six months.
They both had come with you to a work event to support you for winning an award. "You look good, sexy even," your boyfriend told you as your fretted over your looks, "Shut up," you said rolling your eyes. Jimin took you by your shoulders and fixed the part in your hair "You're cute, I promise," he said before releasing you. Your name got called and you rushed off towards the stage to accept your award and thank your boss for acknowledging your work. On your way back to the boys you were thanking people who helped you or were congratulating you, but you were distracted because it looked like they were having a pretty serious conversation. Eventually you made it back to them but they did not notice you had gotten back.
"She has a hard time accepting a good complement," Jimin said with a sigh before drinking the rest of his champagne "She loves her family and all of her friends, but she can't even love herself half as much," Jimin said setting down his drink. He grabbed your boyfriend's shoulder "You're the one she let in, so please, please get her to love herself," it sounded almost as if he was begging this of your boyfriend. You felt tears well in your eyes, "I-I don't think I'm the one who has her heart," your boyfriend said defeated and Jimin looked at him confused "I thought because I was the boyfriend it meant that she loved me the most, but you bring out the best of her," he said before setting his drink down "Give her my best regards and tell her I'm sorry," your boyfriend-well now ex- said before walking off.
You took this as a cue to walk up to him "Where is he going?" you questioned standing next to Jimin "uh- well... I think he broke up with you... through me?" Jimin explained pointing towards his chest. "Really?" you wanted to sound more sad than you were, "Yeah," Jimin said running his fingers through his hair. You took his hands in yours "You can't leave me like that," you told him and he shook his head "I would never. Someone has to love you more than you do," he said, his eyes widening with realization he had just admitted to loving you. You smiled leaning into his arm "Thank you for loving me," you said squeezing his hand in yours.
Taehyung
Your boyfriend had decided that you were going to come to the bar with him. You didn't like going to the bar with him because you didn't like being around him when he was drunk. Yet somehow he had convinced you to go with him, and in one of your more scandalous dresses. After about a half hour your boyfriend was drunk and you were ready to go home. You sighed standing next to your boyfriend just waiting for him to either pay attention to you or tell you it is time to go home.
Your boyfriend grabbed your wrist and your eyes widened with fear. He pulled you into his arms, his hands landing on your breasts as you fell into him. However, instead of moving his hands, he made a pervy face to his friends getting them to all chuckle and oggle at your breasts. Blushing you tried to remove his hands, pushing at his arms, trying to shake out of his grip but he was holding onto you good and his friends were finding the whole show hilarious. You felt tears well in your eyes as more onlookers were beginning to look over at what was going on. Suddenly you were pulled out of his grip, into the chest of a stranger. You hid your face embarrassed that everyone was looking at you guys now.
"Hey man, keep your hands off my girl," your boyfriend said, but you held onto the strangers coat, not wanting to be in your boyfriends grasp once again. The stranger shoved your boyfriend's hands away "This is your girlfriend?" the tall stranger asked "The one clinging on a stranger to get away from you?" he questioned, his hands on even touching you as you were hanging onto him. "This has nothing to do with-" "Your arms are the place she's supposed to feel safe in," the tall stranger said not letting your boyfriend finish. Tears roll down your cheeks at the man's statement, he was right about that, and that's not something you could always say about your boyfriend. "She can speak for herself," your boyfriend growled and you let go of the stranger, turning around to face him "Y-you're right, I can," you said shakily while grabbing your coat and purse "And I don't want to date you anymore," you said before heading towards the exit.
You could hear quite the commotion behind you but didn't stay to see what would happen, using the time to get as far away as possible. You stood outside pulling your jacket on to keep you warm. You heard the door to the bar open and close, and tried to ignore whoever else was leaving. "Mind if I join you?" the stranger from earlier asked "Sure... Thanks for earlier," you said rubbing up and down your arm. "I know it wasn't my place to butt in, but I couldn't stand by watching him treat you like that," he said and you nodded "I appreciated it, really," you said wiping the tears off your cheeks. "Taehyung," he said sticking his hand out towards you, you smiled before shaking his hand "Y/n," you told him and he broke out into a boxy grin "Could I take you out sometime?" he questioned and you nodded your head.
Jungkook
Jungkook had been your best friend for as long as you could remember. You two were so close, neither of you needed to talk to know what the other was thinking. The two of you decided to go out because it's been a while, and you have other friends who keep inviting you guys to go. You all went to a club and started drinking and dancing with each other. That's when you noticed Jungkook and one of your other friends standing off to the side, and you wanted to dance with Jungkook. You walked over towards them, only to realize that they were talking about you. Apparently the guy wanted to ask you out and decided to ask Jungkook about you. "On days it feels like the world might cave in, stand side by side and you'll make it. She's the best thing that you'll ever have," Jungkook told him.
Your mind flashed back to when Jungkook left the room once the Grammy vlive was over and you all were hanging out having your own little afterparty. You waited a few minutes, assuming maybe he went to the bathroom before leaving in the direction you had seen him go. You heard sniffling from the hallway and then found that Jungkook's hotel room was slightly open. You let yourself in there, closing the door behind yourself, a sad smile crossing your lips at the sight in front of you. He hadn't even made it to the bed before falling to his knees, softly crying. You walked around him to kneel in front of him. His hands clenched into fists "How much harder to we have to work than them to get recognized?" he questioned and you shook your head knowing just how frustrated they all were about it.
You wrapped your hand around the back of his neck and pulled him to your chest, wrapping your other arm around him as well. "Most people recognize how much you all deserve to win, I know you know that, it's frustrating working harder than everyone else and still not being good enough," you said resting your head on top of his. Eventually he melted into your embrace, his forehead resting against your shoulder, his arms wrapping around your back. You rubbed your hand over his back until he began to relax and the tears flowed no longer. He pulled out of your arms and gave you a smile "What would I do without you?" he questioned and you returned his smile "I don't know," you replied in a teasing voice, knowing he would do the exact same for you.
"Kiss her with passion, as much as you can," Jungkook said pulling you from your daydream, and it almost looked like he was the one longing to do so, "She'll love you, if you love her like that," Jungkook mumbled. You rushed over towards them "Can I borrow you?" you questioned grabbing Jungkook's wrist and dragging him off to a more secluded private part of the club. "You okay?" he questioned looking over you "I don't want to date him," you whispered and he chuckled "You heard us talking?" he asked patting the top of your head "You don't have to," he assured you. You took his wrist, bringing his palm to your cheek, which caused his cheeks to redden "I don't think anyone will love me like you do," you told him. He looked like he had been caught doing something wrong "It should be us," you said and he smiled "It can be us, and only us," he replied before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
description: you just seemed to fit like a puzzle piece
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You don’t really remember where or how it started. The desire to love, to be loved. Of course, it is simply human nature, the ancient thought that when you are made you are split in two and you spend your life searching for your other half. Except in this day and age that is a thing of the past for some, they simply spend their life by themselves and they enjoy it. But where does that desire go? Surely it just doesn’t disappear – perhaps theirs gets projected onto the one that comes after them. The double desire to find and be loved. The double desire that eats away at them all night and is quickly put on the back burner during the day when they find a measly distraction. If that’s the case, then you are the one that came after. Growing up you were not deprived of love; your parents loved every bone of you, and you had a fair share of friends who would do anything to see you smile. But it all started when you hit the age of dating, everyone seemed to have it so easy, but you always went for the wrong guy or the guy who loved another or you were simply left alone in the corner of the dance while everyone slowed danced and the teachers watched with hawk eyes to make sure they didn’t get too close. No really. 9th grade, the boy who had asked you conveniently got back with his ex while you went to the toilet, and worst of all you couldn’t go cry in the toilets because you had just come out of them!
All your friends say your time will come. But it’s easy for them to tell you all the cliché things when they had met the perfect partner for them. They were happy and content, living in a world where they don’t need to think about anyone else because they had each other. No dating apps, no more awkward first dates, no more unanswered texts, no late-night cries when you receive the ‘you’re great but…’ texts. Just blissfully unaware of the hell on earth that is dating for people who don’t have it as easy as they do.
Jealousy. It’s hard not to be jealous when you go to their house warmings, or their dinner parties or that one engagement party. It’s hard. Sure, you were happy for them, because at least they weren’t feeling the hell and the social pressure to not be alone for the rest of your life. They don’t get the judgemental looks from the bitchy aunt that definitely didn’t have a rushed marriage when she was your age because she was pregnant (definitely didn’t happen – your cousin was 100% premature).
You hear about love languages and how everyone has a specific one, everyone said they knew yours from a mile away – words of affirmation. ‘You constantly need to hear that someone loves you or that they’re proud or that they haven’t changed their mind. Isn’t it tiring?’. Yes, it was extremely tiring, tiring to be constantly trying to tell yourself that you’re being foolish, and they do still love you and they are proud - yet still having the nagging feeling in the back of your mind that it’s all a lie.
“Any dates lined up?” Yuki asks as she scrolls through her phone.
You sigh and put down your drink, “No. I’m done.”
“You said that year and then met that awful dude that thought he was better than you,” Anastasia chimed in.
“He was better than me,” you reply thinking of the doctor and all his PhD’s. Sure, he was an awful person who liked to bring up just how many he had but he had every right to, he had earnt them.
“Just because he had a few pieces of paper doesn’t mean he’s better than you. You have a personality, he didn’t.” Anastasia scoffs stirring her coffee.
You shrug your shoulders as you look out the window, “He’s engaged now.”
“Poor girl,” Yuki laughs putting down her phone, “Does she have any degrees?”
Yuki and Anastasia laugh at the memory of you introducing your ex and him straight away asking if they had any sort of degree between them. Looking back, it made you feel sick to your stomach, he was so rude, and you were so desperate.
“PhD.” You reply.
“Just the one?!” Yuki exclaims, “Disgusting!”
They both laugh once more as you sat silently staring at the half empty coffee expressionless. It was easy to joke about exes when they weren’t yours.
“Listen, a new guy started at my work and he is so much like you I wanna set you two up,” Anastasia says.
“I don’t know, remember the last set up?” you point out. He was a whole foot smaller than you and at one point you had to help him reach something from the second shelf in the supermarket. Ironically, he didn’t want to meet again because you were too small.
“That was my mistake, I didn’t realise he wanted a 6ft girl,” Anastasia tells you, “Come on! He’s lovely, he’s taller than me and the other day he split coffee down himself.”
“So that means he’s perfect for me?”
“A match made,” she smiles, “Please!”
“I’d just do it; how bad could it be?” Yuki points out as you fumbled with your jumper.
“Getting shouted at in aisle 5 because you couldn’t reach the top shelf bad,” you joke. They both burst out into laughter once more as you sighed and watched the rain fall to the ground outside the coffee shop.
“Fine,” you sigh, “What’s his name?”
“Jungkook,” Anastasia smiles.
~.♥ ~
The lead up to the date was the worst, Anastasia constantly went on about how clumsy he was and how perfect you would be together – her favourite story was him walking into the glass door and simply shaking it off before going into a meeting. With every new story it bought up a sense of hope – but even you knew this was dangerous. For what one thinks is cute and endearing another finds childish and immature. What if he wasn’t as cute and as clumsy as Anastasia constantly explained – what if it was because he saw someone cute in the office and got distracted and he was now using you to make her jealous.
“Stop overthinking,” Yuki demands snapping you out of your thoughts.
“How did you-?”
“I’ve known you far too long. You’re either overthinking or over romanticising.”
You smile sadly before looking back into the mirror and applying some more blush. Maybe it was all the fairy tales growing up that made you this way, or maybe it was the tv shows. Either way they had both set you up for failure.
“Jungkook is on his way to the restaurant. It’s under my name,” Anastasia smiles walking into the room with her phone in hand, “Tae said good luck!”
“So does Jae,” Yuki smiles.
“I need it,” you mutter standing up and fixing your dress, “What do I do if he doesn’t show?”
“He’s on his way,” Anastasia sighs.
“What if he goes to the wrong restaurant?”
“They won’t seat him because my name won’t be on the list of reservations.”
“What if they don’t do reservations?” you challenge.
“You’re annoying me. He’s on his way to the right restaurant where he will give in my name and will be seated waiting for you.”
“But-,”
“Stop! Get in the taxi,” Anastasia shouts cutting you off. You drop your head as you walk down the stairs sheepishly. Anything could happen, you could arrive before him and he could look at you and change his mind. He could arrive before you and when you walk in scream and run out the back entrance. Everything was a possibility.
“Anastasia,” you smile nervously to the hostess.
“This way, your party is waiting for you,” she smiles kindly. Party? How many where here? Did Anastasia set up a conveyer belt to give you your best shot? You don’t think you could handle multiple rejections in one night.
Walking into the dining room you spotted him straight away. He was staring out the window, his leg twitching under the table – so much so he knocked over the pepper. His red face made you flutter and as you got closer the butterflies became more and more active. He was as clumsy as Anastasia had described and a lot cuter than she had as well.
“Your table,” the hostess smiles placing the menu down and walking away.
“Y/N,” Jungkook smiles standing up quickly, “I’m Jungkook!”
“Hi, nice to meet you,” you smile pulling the chair out.
“I should have pulled your chair out for you, shouldn’t I?” he wonders aloud.
“No, because if you couldn’t push it back in, I’d probably overheat with embarrassment,” you laugh pulling your chair in and hitting your hip on the table, “Fuck!”
The restaurant stares at you as you held back anymore swearing.
“Very hard table,” Jungkook jokes before they resume, “Are you okay?”
“I’ve got shivers.”
“You’ll have a bruise tomorrow,” he laughs as you finally sit down.
“I bruise so easily; my whole left side will be.”
“My friend is the same, he once caught his ankle on the door and couldn’t wear a shoe for weeks. The whole thing was swollen. He used all the ice in my freezer too,” Jungkook laughs.
“What about the ice in his freezer?”
“We live together so I guess he used all of his too,” he replied.
You laugh loudly as you opened the menu, all the anxiety had melted away when he smiled in your direction.
~.♥ ~
Days had turned into months and months had turned into a year. There was something about him that was so different from everyone you had met before. Nothing you did was ever childish or embarrassing and the same for him. You two just seemed to fit like a puzzle piece. He made you laugh, he made you feel safe, he made sure you knew he loved you. Whether it was by sending you a midday message when you were in work, or whether it was a cheesy video of him kissing the screen. He would bring ramen when you were stressed, and alcohol when it was time to celebrate. You would attend parties together and would spend all night dancing, drinking and laughing. You finally felt happy when attending engagement parties, housewarming parties and everything else that used to fill your social calendar with dread.
Hi! I really enjoy reading your fics. I always look forward to them than whatever there is a release on Netflix. I was wondering, what advice can you give to someone who struggles in writing? When I mean writing, I mean trouble putting their thoughts on paper. While I have many ideas, I struggle with writer's block that I even find it difficult to send a happy birthday message. Including this post, I am trying to write as clear as I can.
Hi, that’s so good to hear (that you look forward to our work). Honestly, I feel the same way whenever Admin N releases a new artwork - especially her most recent series of couple pics. It just feels like Christmas to me!
It can be difficult when struggling to write. We also feel the same in that we come up with ideas really easily, but actually writing them can be difficult. I know I have to be in the ‘right mood’ to write which is often why when writing fics, a few will be posted close together, then followed by a few weeks of no fics. If I am feeling stressed about something, it can really impact my ability to write and I find I have no motivation and just want to aimlessly watch youtube videos all day.
Both admins write in different ways, so there is no right or wrong way to do it. I (admin M) tend to just start at the beginning and power my way through it, while Admin N always writes a guide first and then sometimes works out of order. Her way takes much longer and she will do it over a week or so but her writing tends to be more detailed and descriptive, while I pretty much always finish in an evening but my writing is less detailed, with most of the focus on the dialogue.
One thing we do have in common, especially with the pre-lockdown fics when we could actually spend time together, is that we tend to come up with the dialogue together and jot it down in a notebook along with actions and certain emotions we want to convey. I’ll include some examples below from our notebooks and you can see in one both myself and admin N taking it in turns to write. So it might help to write everything down first and focus on the dialogue before typing it up in full. Also try to set some days aside to write when you know you don’t have any other priorities and find what time you are most productive (in the mornings, afternoons, evenings etc.). If you have a friend who is also into BTS you could try collaborating or sharing your ideas with them and creating a joint account like we did.
Most of all, don’t worry about subscribers or getting people to like your fics. When we started, virtually no one read our fics and it was a good 6 months or more before we realised anyone was actually following our storyline. While we love to hear feedback and it feels really good to know some people like what we do, we mostly do it for ourselves and because we want to tell this story. In the same way, try not to be swayed by writing what people want to hear and do what feels right for you. There are plenty of writers out there who are happy to just write requests, so don’t feel you need to write something just for the sake of it. Instead, tell the story you want to tell in your own way.
If you really are struggling to write in paragraphs, maybe try doing something a bit different like dialogue only fics (we do this in our BTS discuss series which can be found towards the bottom of our fics and art masterlist here), or you could try doing ‘fake texts’ or diary entries.
I hope this helped.

[extra brownie points for those who know what fics these plans are from/eventually became. P.S there is one page here that we wrote over a year and a half ago that hasn’t yet been written as it takes place in the future, so a little teaser.]
