Subspace himself is being monopolized by Blackrock. It is mandatory for him to write everything down on how he built his inventions in detail, including every single error he made with an explanation on why it wouldn’t have worked in the first place, and every material and tool used. All of this information is available to the public in book format that’s been mass produced. And to make sure that no one tries to copy his creations and use it for anything but the benefit of Blackrock, it is completely impossible to get the most important tools to make his inventions.

there are even little kits for kids to make their own mini biografts that barely do anything… unless a single button that Subspace has that turns on every one of these little things and sends them to a robotic army forces base, turning every single one of these little robots into more robot soldiers for Blackrock

when Medkit is happy, genuinely happy not faking it to be respectful, his crystal glows a bit brighter and everyone in a few feet radius from him actually gets their injuries slowly healed. He only found this out when sword got a cut and they both went out to a cafe. Medkit was enjoying the time spent with sword, then realized that the paper cut on sword’s hand was healing.

it’s the opposite for Subspace, when he’s happy, everyone around him starts to rot pretty much, or just gets poisoned. But no one can tell because he’s always letting off poisonous fumes

here’s something I don’t like with Subspace’s lore

Subspace was just born a bad person

that’s completely impossible

there is always a reason why someone acts the way they do. Whether it be childhood trauma, being forced into acting a specific way, being raised in a family where that is the norm, there always is a reason.

If Subspace was born in a different area, if he wasn’t forced into being the way he is, it’s impossible for him to be a bad person, unless he just gains more trauma

it’s infuriating too, it shows a terrible stereotype, that someone who acts bad, just is bad, no reason why

And it makes people who do act bad seem irredeemable, impossible to help, which is wrong

I personally think Subspace was spawned as kind of a freak but Blackrock made him a more evil and terrible kind of freak

here’s like a one-shot au that really only affects Medkit

WARNING FOR THE INCIDENT BETWEEN MEDKIT AND SUBSPACE, ALONG WITH BLOOD AND DEAD BODIES (and freezing to death)

so, in this au, Medkit managed to escape Subspace and the lab, but not Blackrock.

he instead hid out in the cold, unforgiving mountains. The mountains he almost died on.

ice dagger saw his pathetic bleeding body on the verge of collapse on the floor and decided to bless(curse?) him into being able to live at any cold temperatures.

the downside? He can still feel the cold, he just can’t die from it. At all. And warmer temperatures hurt him too.

It’s gotten so bad that his internal body temperature is like -50 C. he doesn’t even breathe out mist anymore, he’s just living when he should be frozen solid…. Oh yeah he can still move..

since he never escaped Blackrock, he never got to need sword or get an eyepatch, so the blood on his face is frozen solid, keeping the injury sealed. There are severe cracks in his horns that were also bleeding before his blood froze over, and his horns take a more blue tone.

since he is still an outlaw in Blackrock, he has to take a new identity. He found an inphernal dead on his way up the mountain, and took their gear: a blue ice pick. And he now lives off of the rations that the dead bring.

medkit is no longer a an upcoming scientist, he is now the creature in folklore, a story told to children to keep them out of the tall mountains, or to stay inside during the night

...now that we've got that out of the way let's get to dissecting this ask! Come to think of it Medkit probably has internal injuries due to being froze as water expends when frozen. This would damage the cells probably giving him brain damage and prohibiting a lot of the major functions of the body. in short: he's fucked

Also what does he feel towards icedagger? Resentment? Thankfulness? Awe? Horror? Disgust? Is he now a follower or a detractor? If he was given the chance would he go to the ttcote and why?

Also i NEED to hear the folklore surrounding him. Also does he even know about that? the folklore i mean.

Blackrock has the best candies. In the world

They have hired the best food scientists to make the best tasting and healthiest candies in the world.

everyone buys them, and if you don’t buy the Blackrock branded version you’re seen as cheap and/or lazy

it’s gotten so bad that most people use them in workout smoothies. They’re addictive, and kids absolutely adore them!
