this came to mind as i was watching this banger edit. i'm just shooting the shit ok humor me

also I didn't tag this as nsfw but like briefly it is btw

I can totally just imagine begging Bucky to take you for a ride on his motorcycle.

we've seen him ride a motorcycle a number of times in the mcu, but we've never seen that he actually owns one.

so maybe he keeps it a secret, but when you get into a relationship, obviously he can't really keep it a secret from you then.

you ask him if he's licensed to ride it and he just stutters no....

but you beg him to take you for a ride. it's not your fault you're an adrenaline junkie and you so just want to be able to cling to him and hold onto his little tummy as he illegally veers in and out of cars at 90mph on the freeway

of course, he's a gentleman and only has one helmet, so he's giving it to you, helping you clasp it at the bottom and pretending like he can't hear you speaking through the visor

"what's that, baby? can't hear you," he taunts, shrugging his shoulders and walking to get on the bike as he laughs

you hold onto him tighter than you should just because you can. you yell at him at a traffic light "go faster!"

he's hesitant. he doesn't want anything bad to happen. but you grasp at his hair the way he likes and god he can't resist you. he yells "hold on!" as he takes off the minute the light turns green and the thrill you get is just.... peak

the sex you have after is fucking amazing too, obviously

bonus points when watch his jaw drop as you tell him you know how to ride. you've been doing it your whole life. and suddenly he's hard again and you're getting fucked from behind

and you poke fun at him after that he's not licensed and you are

and of course he's all like "I've been doing this longer than you've been alive, babygirl, don't get cocky or I'll have to punish you..."

The idea of bucky genuinely having no recollection of his actions haunts me. He lost 90 years of his life and can't recall nearly any of it.

Granted, in the comics, there was a period in which he was "conscious," but he still had no memories of HIS life. Not only that, but the moment they knew there were chips in their programming, he immediately was but in cryostasis.

In the movies, this applies even more so. The clip in civil war where (when talking to Steve) he says "What did I do?" "Enough." "I knew it. Everything Hydra put inside me is still there...". He's aware of the fact that he was made into a killing machine. Simply a weapon and nothing else. To Hydra, he had no life. Only a mission that needed to be completed.

Why can't Marvel just let him be happy :((

The sheer and utter heartbreak I felt when he realized he was still seen as a weapon.

When he was the winter soldier, his skills and his ARM were two extreme marks of who he was. A killing machine trained to do nothing but obey orders. In the comics, this was especially true. Considering he had no serum in the comics, the only thing that brought him to the same level as super soldiers was his enhanced arm. No special serums, nothing but his incredible skill to kill. But his arm was what allowed him to be just that much more effective and efficient. It made him who he was. The Winter Soldier, not Bucky Barnes.

When he was in Wakanda. He rebuilt his life. He had peace. He wasn't being put in a freezer and being thrown into wars left and right. He got to go find peace. Calm. A place that allowed him to heal. And with that, he gained a new arm that was supposed to represent that new life. One that wasn't plagued by death and blood. One that represented him as Bucky. Not a weapon. Yes, it still acted similar due to Infinity War, but it's representation was clearly geared towards a new life. He was finally beginning to be himself again.

Only to have that ripped away at the sign of disobeying those of Wakanda. To remove his arm when he was seen as a threat. To be reminded that he will ALWAYS be seen as a monster. A killer. Nothing but the Winter Soldier to them. Even after all that time, he had that trust shattered while he was trying to COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. Not even while trying to hurt anyone. He wanted to de-escalate, and yet he was met with having his small sliver of peace ripped from him.

I hate this scene and the look on his face. It hurts so bad

Bucky was used to hide the messes that Cap might make.  Bucky did all the "dirty" work. the hard work.  He kept Cap's social reputation good.  He was Cap's best friend, yes.  But whether or not Cap knew what Bucky was being used for.. there is no doubt that Bucky was a harsh kid because he had to be one..
