Ahh I’m sending out a huge thank you to @homiesexuallaj for giving me the chance to present my wips again after a while. Maybe this list will give me the nudge I need to finish and upload something again. Scream at me about anything you find interesting, my lovelies!!

Just a quick heads-up, nothing here is a formal promise. These are all ideas and fantasies in various stages of the process. If the muse strikes, I’ll finish them, but I can't guarantee anything will make it out of the drafts. I’ve marked the ones where I’ve actually managed to start writing with an * so you’d know I could potentially share snippets, but even those have a habit of slowly rotting in my folders for months or even years, oop.

I adore and appreciate you, and I feel bad for responding this late, but here is your little snippet for 40s!Bucky x and Nurse!Reader:

Your palm stays pressed to his ribs for whatever reason. You’re still checking the wrap is what you tell yourself. “It’s going to hurt for a while,” you explain. “You’ll need to keep this clean and dry. So if you can help it, try not to let it get wet.” You keep your voice stern, but can’t help slipping in that little hint of something softer. “No lifting anything heavier than your rifle or pack, and absolutely no bending or twisting. I also don’t want you involved in any fights you can avoid.”

Bucky lifts one brow. “Can’t promise the last one.”

“You can,” you reply adamantly, maybe even a little harsh, “and you will.”

His mouth curves further. And you notice that that glint in his eyes that shimmers in the low light is a watermark of pride, maybe even awe. He nods, because nods are simple and because you are the one person whose directions he follows without much argument as it seems.

I’m so happy you showed interest in this fic, and I hope I’ll be able to have it finished soon.

Oh my gosh, it is truly such an honor and highly appreciated that you went to read my work multiple times ahhhh 🥹 You are the sweetest and I want to hug you so badly 🩷

And I can definitely give you a little snippet for this wip! It’s been in my mind for months now. I do have to say, I haven’t gotten to the really angsty part of this fic yet, but I can give you something that hints at angsty past events 👀

Hydra always chooses places like this. It’s not surprising, though. They always keep it cold and isolated, convinced the world won’t bother to look for them where nothing should survive.

And nothing really does, here, which also isn’t surprising at all. Snow keeps secrets. It swallows sound, forces cold fingers to your lips, urges you to move soft, softer than the crunch of your boots, softer than your breath fogging the air, softer than the thrum of your pulse as it knocks against your ribcage.

The first agent never sees you. Your arm loops around his throat and you let your knife flash when you pinpoint where to stab. He collapses into the snow without a sound louder than a sigh.

Steve takes the second down with one strike, shield edge kissing temple, body caught before it hits the ground.

Two threats erased. Snow keeps their secrets.

“Clear,” Steve speaks lowly, all Captain.

“Gold star for everyone,” Bucky deadpans in your ear. “Textbook.”

You wipe your blade against the snow, watching red suffuse and disappear. “You’re just mad you don’t get to punch anyone.”

“I’m thrilled,” he retorts flatly, though there is something like a warm smirk in his voice. “Nothing like mandatory therapy and comm duty to really spice up your week.”

You snort softly. Because you don’t want to think about how red and then black the world went on Bucky’s last mission with you, how his voice lost this subtly warm undertone and his eyes lost color, and both turned into something wild.

You don’t want to think about how that’s why he’s not physically here right now.

Here’s a little something of my Boyfriend!Bucky x Girlfriend!Reader with her being drunk and him picking her up:

Your hand wanders. To the tender place where skin meets hairline. You stroke the back of his head and his soft brown strands as if he’s a very dignified cat. He lets you. He even leans back into you a little bit but keeps his eyes on the road.

“Doll,” he says, gently, affection bouncing off every syllable. “You keep that up, I might crash this thing.”

“You’re distracting,” you mutter distracted, as if it’s his fault he was born to ruin your concentration.

His jaw ticks in amusement. You drag your knuckles down across it just to feel the way it moves. Stroke your thumb along his cheekbone, trying to memorize the angles. His little scar. The faint, almost invisible dimple he swears he doesn’t have.

And a snippet from my Modern!Bucky x College!Waitress!Reader fic. It’s been a long while since I have written this and I guess I will have to redo it if I somehow regain inspiration to work on this again, but still, I can give you a little something of what I have:

He stands withdrawn, hands shoved deep into his pants pockets, as if the suit - undoubtedly expensive - hanging off his frame is a foreign and unwelcome embrace. His posture is stiff, his broad shoulders are rigid, deeming an awkwardness that contrasts starkly with the ease and the arrogance of the other men all around you. It’s as if he wears that suit out of obligation, and without that relaxed confidence.

The boisterous and vibrant crowd seems to swallow him. He doesn’t really participate in any of the conversations taking place around him, his attention rather seems fixed on the open ocean and the city beyond, you had been admiring earlier.

Shadows dance on his face, obscuring his features as he stands slightly turned away from you. The hues of the setting sun and the soft glow of the lanterns aren’t enough to decipher him, but they do give you fleeting glimpses of a sharp jawline.

Thank you so much for sending this in, lovely!! I'm sorry it took me a minute to respond, but I'm only gradually finding time to respond to the asks I've been receiving regarding my little wip game. Though it’s been a delight to see you among them 🩷

🎧 — I’ve been thinking about quite a few songs that could fit the tone and vibe for my Pirate!Bucky x Marchoiness!Reader fic, but I guess I will go with “The Kraken” by Hans Zimmer. There’s no text, but I think it works perfectly because it builds a sense of overwhelming danger and control. The deep, rising tones mirror the psychological pressure our poor girl will have to go through 👀 But don’t you worry, Bucky is no monster. I could never make him one.

As for the quote:

“A storm is coming.”

This so so subtle and ominous, I know, and I’m sorry, but it does fit so well. It’s basically meant as a metaphor, because Bucky does know how to arrive like a storm hehe

💡— Honestly, this thought came to my mind while I was watching a series I hadn’t seen in years. There was a scene where a girl gets captured and interrogated, and it didn’t have anything to do with pirates or whatever, but my mind drifted to pirate!Bucky nonetheless because how could it not 🤭

I immediately started building a whole story in my head. She’s the noble girl with an important family background, and he’s the notorious pirate captain every sane person prays never to cross paths with. I imagined how they could meet in a completely unexpected way, and that they know of each other. Not personally, but by reputation alone. I don’t want to say too much just yet, but I think it’s funny how sometimes all it takes is one small scene like that for a whole series to take root in my mind.

And I always love to share a little something 🫶🏻 I started writing this ages ago, but it still lingers in my mind often enough because I did like the idea. I find myself picturing it every now and then, though I haven’t quite been able to summon the motivation to dive into it just yet.

You passed another group of men with a forced smile. Their tailored suits could probably pay off every single crumpled bill you had meticulously stashed away in that old shoe box under your bed, as to not accidentally stumble upon it and being reminded of the overdue payments once again.

Ignoring the bills wouldn’t make them disappear, a fact you were painfully aware of. But facing them head-on didn’t magically conjure up the missing funds either, so a temporary state of blissful ignorance felt like the only solace you could afford.

You dodged another cluster of people, their rich-people laugh almost igniting an eye roll from you as you were about to move past. One man clipped your shoulder and the tray in your hand lurched precariously, sending a shiver of panic down your spine as the canapés swayed slightly.

I do wish I’ll find the inspiration to continue this fic someday, maybe once Halloween has passed and I’ve wrapped up my little seasonal projects. I really hope I won’t end up dropping the idea entirely, or forgetting what I’ve actually been planning for this. I did enjoy where this was going 🥺

I’ll give you a little scene I find to be so important and that shows Bucky’s caring and loving character so well:

“Are we gonna have sex tonight?” you whisper.

Bucky stills. Blinks. And then he grins. Slowly. Soft and startled and completely charmed, as though you’ve handed him a bouquet of flowers in the middle of a battlefield.

“Sweetheart,” he starts, voice dipped in honey and love, “you can barely stand up.”

“I could, though,” you argue, a little indignant, poking a very wobbly finger into his chest. “If I wanted to. I’m very powerful.”

His laughter is quiet, but it fills the whole room. “I know you are, baby. You’re unstoppable.” His grin is full of adoration. “But not tonight.”

Your lips part. A little pouty. You blink. “Why not?”

He leans in, brushes a kiss against your temple and stays there for a few seconds. His thumb sweeps across your jaw, that crooked smile still painted across his mouth. “Because you’re drunk,” he coos gently. “And I love you.”
