In my universe, Tale Of Bugs, there’s a chapter where Zilo the termite arrives on an island known as “The Island of Fools”.

They’ll quickly reach a big city governed by a group of 5 arthropods (with a little extra).

(more details about the characters after the cut)

- Burying Beetle: Rov is an undertaker. They works with their congeners and dust mites. They dealing with funerales and collect corpses for food (it’s legal here).

- Spanner Crab: Tuäl is kind of a garbage collector, city cleaner, they works with other crustaceans and dung beetles. They also collect any organic matter that can be used as food.

- Carpenter Bee: Tumuzù is a farmer. She collects pollen with the help of other species of bee, but also fruits; vegetables and other plants thanks to weevil (and other insects).

- Pelican Spider: Mowley is a house builder. They’re helped by other spiders and caterpillars.Tumuzù works with them sometime.

- (Mosquito): Biio is an assistant of the former doctor of the city (a centipede who left for a certain reason). He’s not really active and is not a true governor.

- Tiger Beetle: Keldrin, with her team of ants, offers her services for giving informations (about arthropods, the city, etc), collecting food (not so legal), hunting (illegal) and trading body parts of people for money (the legality is out).

Do not worry, she’s not the only one who takes advantage of her place in the government :)
