Bugatti Tipo 41 Royale
This Bugatti type 41 Royale 'Roadster Esders' was designed and styled in 1932 by Jean Bugatti, the very promising son of the great Ettore. Jean died in 1939 in a tragic car accident while testing a factory car around Molsheim.
This Bugatti Royale was especially designed for Dr.Armand Esders, a clothing manufacturer. He ordered a car without any headlights as this would impair the beautiful design. He said he had "No plans to drive after sunset anyhow."
The Royale, was built from 1927 to 1933. It was huge -- 169.3 in wheelbase and 21 ft overall length, and weighed approximately 7,000 lb. It used a 778 cu in straight 8 putting out about 260 HP.
