Question: What would Bomb-Burst, Offroad, Stranglehold, Snarler, Finback, Carnivac, Oilmaster, and buggy look like in their Organic Pretender Shells?
I mean, I make it a note to show them off in their profiles.

Someone's probably going to suggest Venin get recolored in black and purple because those are basically the traditional Insecticon colors, so I figured I should throw this option out there first and hopefully color people's first impression

Later revised and annotated for The Transformers: Generation One
wada sez: Continuing from “Eyes” and “The Experiment”, this is the concluding part of the “What Lies Beyond The Veil” trilogy. This storyline was inspired by the Sunbow episode “Nightmare Planet”, per Villa: “I cut all the direct references to "Nightmare Planet", like the fact that the Quints are using Daniel's engrams to access to the human collective subconscious. This is why the monster are a bit childish: they represent human children's fears”. The “psitronic proto-matter” of the Pretender shells is an idea shared by “The Call”, which I’ll be serialising for the archive shortly. Italian translation below.
Uh oh I'm drawing obscure Transformers again.
It's Bugly! 1988, Decepticon Pretender. Practitioner of Circuit-Su, whatever that is.

Dear Vector Prime, what is the most mysterious version of Cybertron that you have discovered
Dear Mysterious Mate,
I do enjoy a good mystery! I did once visit a version of Cybertron that was quite wrapped up in an ongoing murder investigation—as it turned out, detective Nightbeat deduced that the culprit was Bugly, with the Pathblaster, at the Toraxxis Mega-Refinery.
