This is my favorite spread of all time! If you didn’t know, I’m a big PSG fan, so I’m so happy hat I got to do this 🥰. Today I went to class, and did homework on my breaks, so I feel rather good about it all.

✨ photo tag game ! ✨
edit: this is my second time reuploading this because 1. the images were stacked instead of neatly in a row and 2. it ended up not tagging anyone :(
this tag game is started by the one and lovely @bujo-ie, and it’s purpose is to get to know each other and make new friends! a person’s phone can say a lot about them, so i think it’s an interesting way to get to know others. :)
i’m tagging some new mutuals! @graystudie @jungcinema @medusa-studies @peachcomets @emilysnonsense @claudie-f
lockscreen: my lockscreen is made by @emmastudies and i’ve been using her wallpapers for a good three years now! they’re pretty and cute, and they also offer me a quick glance at a calendar, which is necessary since i major in film production and need to do have a quick glance at dates.
home screen: this is a shot from hayao miyazaki’s ponyo! it’s one of my all time favorite films, and it has fit my summer perfectly so far. i’ll be a little sad to see it go as i pick a new wallpaper for the fall. also, you’ll notice that none of my apps have any notifications (including my emails, texts, reminders, or other apps, even if they’re not pictured) because i hate the clutter of notifications haha
last song i listened to: i’ve been listening to 3 nights by dominic fike a lot lately! it’s an easy song to listen to, and it’s exactly the type of song you’d listen to on a tropical beach under a hut with a beer in your hand :)
passion planner spread for feb 10-16! 📝💛
my secret for a low stress but very busy semester is a passion planner! (or any planner at all) once you master the skill of planning & time management, no amount of work can phase you.
would you like a plan with me post?
「march spread」
I’m really happy with these month’s colors!!
I’m also trying to start a more simplistic spread so it will be easier to maintain than some of my other monthly spreads. Hopefully it works out
undercoverbotanist’s school tips
1) Keep a small journal for essay notes, scheduling, any ranting you need to do that you can’t say out loud, etc. (I bought a Leuchtturm 1917 to use as a bullet journal, but it’s become my catch-all for things like essay skeletons and random calc homework)
2) For the love of God, go to office hours. Your professors (for the most part) actually care about how you do in their class and want you to have a good understanding of the material they teach. Going to office hours has quite literally saved my calculus grade. (it may even buy you brownie points at the end of the semester)
3) Participate!! (and go to class in the first place.) Participation points are freebies and can boost your grade faster than anything else, and chances are, if you’re actively discussing and asking questions about the material, you will gain a better understanding of it than you would gain sitting in the back on your phone.
4) Practice problems! (and practice essays, short answer questions, etc.) Doing practice problems and increasing the amount you actually spend applying what you’ve learned in your lecture makes you more likely to do well on exams.
5) Make a set of master-notes for every exam, every time. My chemistry professors give us notes in a fill-in-the-blank format - one handout for each lecture. We also have a problem session and lab component of the class, which cover separate content from the lectures. Having a set of notes that is a compilation of all of the content covered in the separate components of the class makes it much easier to study for exams.
6) Use google calendar to time-block. Y’all, this has changed my academic life. I put absolutely everything in google calendar - going to my dorm to grab stuff for my next class, meals, doing homework, sorority events, everything. I use the google calendar app on my phone so I get an alert 10 minutes before my next event, as it helps keep me accountable for the tasks I have set myself.
7) Perhaps most importantly, take care of yourself. You cannot do well academically if you are not at your best. Take a mental health day if you need it, go to counseling, go to your school’s health center if you feel sick. Take care of yourself so you can be and perform your best.
