“Yeah? Well I kissed her first when she was younger!” Baby argued back.

“I married her, which is something none of you can say,” Abby countered.

Baby looked like he was about to lunge at the older boy, when Rome sat up taller, looking at them all.

“Wait, I don't think Y/N is with us right now.”

All attention turned on her. She looked much like how she did at the dance studio so many days ago. Her gaze was unfocused, staring blankly at her lap. 

“What was she reading?” Jinu asked.

Rome glanced at Mystery. “It's about you.”

Mystery put their hand out as Romance passed the notebook over to them, keeping it on the exact page Y/N had been on. 

She didn't even flinch when they moved around her.

Baby leaned in to read as Mystery's eyes quickly skimmed over the page.

Oh.

Of course that was her.

The one companion they had during their life.

The one person who cared about him.

“Do you want a moment with her?” Abby asked.

Mystery pressed their lips into a thin line. They all knew his story, and yet…

“Yeah, give them a minute,” Baby voiced for him.

Mystery glanced over at him, and Baby just looked at him knowingly. “Can you…”

“Wasn't planning on leaving unless you asked,” Baby finished. 

Mystery leaned over and gave Baby a soft kiss. “Thank you,” they said, before turning their attention back on Y/N.

They wondered exactly what she was seeing, experiencing in that moment.

But they knew they'd find out soon enough.

Special Adopts: Big 50 Edition!

In honor of finding homes for 58 inokabe and counting, I have a very special batch of inokabes up for adoption!

To be honest, while inokabe are genetically compatible with other yokai, these can barely be called inokabe at this point, since they are inspired by dogs from other nations' folklore!!

The adoption rules for all the inokabes shown below will be as follows:

You must submit 3 total drawings, one of the inokabe alone, one of the inokabe with its potential owner, and a third one of your choice. I ask for at least flat/rough colors for all three, and at least one fullbody drawing of the inokabe. Written submissions are allowed, but must be substantial (as in there's no word requirement per se, but I would like some amount of effort in it please)

Please provide the inokabe(??) with a name! A name that comes from the creatures country of origin will increase your odds! (countries/regions of origin will be provided below).

For the mated pair, you must collab with another artist for the three drawings. (If no entries are recieved for the mated pair, applications will open for solo submissions following the rules stated in #1)

You will have until SATURDAY, MAY 9th at 8:00 PM EST
