I FUCKED UP MY HIP SUDDENLY AND NOW I CAN'T MOVE MY LEGGGGG
FUCK U, EDS, OH MY GODDDDD
Waking up in the morning: "oh dear gods, why am I feeling so much pain today?"
Them: "oh right! we have some rain scheduled for today!
Day 4 of trying ruta/ruda tea to see if it helps my joint pain: why am I trying this again? Double doses, no side effects.
I created some system user boxes for autoimmune diseases (open to requests)
added standard user box options too for closet systems and singlets but I originally created these with systems in mind

feel free to use wherever, I don't care about credit but a reblog would be nice :]
Ok my whole left arm(shoulder, elbow, wrist and thumb) is now painful to move.
Transferring hurts. Wheeling hurts. Using a computer, you guessed it, hurts.
I feel like Jenga, one piece at a time being taken away.
Chronic hip and pelvic pain is common, and can have many causes
What are chronic hip and pelvic pains?
Pain in this region can be caused by :
* Osteoarthritis of the hip (coxarthrosis): This is wear and tear of the cartilage in the hip joint. It causes pain deep in the groin, which may radiate to the thigh or knee.
* Piriformis syndrome: The piriformis muscle in the buttock can compress the sciatic nerve, causing pain in the buttock, hip and sometimes the foot.
* Tendonitis: Inflammation of the tendons around the hip, such as the psoas tendon, can cause pain.
* Bursitis: Inflammation of the bursae, which are fluid-filled sacs that lubricate the joints, can cause pain and localized tenderness.
* Poorly-healed fractures: A hip or pelvic fracture that hasn't healed properly can cause chronic pain.
* Inflammatory diseases: Diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis can affect hip and pelvic joints.
* Lumbar disc problems: A herniated disc or lumbar osteoarthritis can radiate pain to the hip and pelvis.
* Scoliosis: A deviated spine can lead to muscle imbalances and pain in the lower back and hip.
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms can vary depending on the cause, but often include:
* Persistent pain: Pain may be deep, throbbing or dull.
* Stiffness: Difficulty moving the hip or pelvis.
* Lameness: An abnormal gait to avoid putting weight on the painful hip.
* Radiating pain: Pain may radiate to the thigh, knee, or even the lower back.
How can chronic hip and pelvic pain be relieved and treated?
Treatment will depend on the underlying cause, and may include :
* Rest: Avoid activities that aggravate pain.
* Ice: Apply ice to the painful area to reduce inflammation.
* Medication: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can help relieve pain and inflammation.
* Physiotherapy: Specific exercises can strengthen muscles, improve mobility and relieve pain.
* Orthotics: A lumbar belt or hip brace can provide support.
* Injections: Corticosteroid injections can reduce inflammation in some cases.
* Surgery: In more severe cases, surgery may be required.
Go further
My knee is shot to hell and I think the next step before surgery might be cortisone injections.
But on the journey to like...keeping my ability to walk (though I've lost the ability to hike and/or walk more than 10 minutes which blows, I'm hoping to get it back still), my physiotherapist, who is also a personal trainer, got me doing a whole bunch of upper body stuff, which I cringed at and was like 'nooooooo' and just 'I'm gonna be so bad at thissss'
But it ended with me actually really enjoying it and now I bench press (don't ask me how much, it's a pitiful amount, my arms are as strong as limp noodles and i'm not not interested in 'how much can you do i bet i'm better at it than you are' like yes you are yes you are now go away) and I look forward to my arm workouts the most out of anything I do.
My knee's still an absolute shitweasel though.
Why are nights so painful?
And days, they're painful too...
Fuck fibromyalgia. And bursitis. And scoliosis. And arthritis. And general chronic pain.
And flares. Doubly fuck flare ups.
So like, why is existence so fucking painful?
