It wasn’t unusual for Anna to see Elsa everywhere she went. It was frequent that she would mistake someone else’s face in a crowd, or wake up from a dream that she had been there only to rediscover her absence. As hopeful as Anna had been about everything throughout her life she had to admit that she had started to lose hope. Every day she was a little less confident when she told herself that she and Elsa would be reunited and that she would get to go home.
Anna had told herself she was no longer going to chase the ghost of her sister, especially tonight. Tonight was about having fun and getting comfortable in her new life, but her eyes caught on someone in the crowd with icy blonde hair and Anna found she just couldn’t stop herself from obsessing. She found it happening the way it always did, subconsciously tailing this girl through the crowd hoping to get a better look. Surely she would get close only to realize it wasn’t Elsa and would be left disappointed for the rest of the night, but she had to try on the off chance that it was in fact her sister.
She made her way closer, mumbling excuse me’s and apologies as she pushed through the crowd. The closer she got the more her heart raced - something about this time felt different. Something about this woman was so familiar, even her movements. “Elsa, is that you?!” Anna began calling hopefully through the crowd, not caring that she sounded a little frantic at this point. She finally pushed her way through coming face to face with the last person she had expected to see when she had put on her costume and left the house earlier that evening. “Elsa? What are you doing here?”
