Loving the idea that the Batson parents only planned one name for their baby, so when a second one popped out they just kinda picked at random.

I was originally gunna do Billy being the unnamed baby but it makes so much more sense with Mary like-

C.C: Look at our darling boy! We planned this for MONTHS- I dub thee William Joseph Batson!

Nurse: Right- thank you Mr Batson, and what will your daughter be called?

C.C: -Uhhhh… *looks to his wife*

Marilyn: humnn…*looks to her husband*

#2: Age Appearance Swap — Billy is an adult — Transformation turned him into an appearance of a child

#3: Role Swap between Billy and Mary — Mary being the chosen Champion — first transformation during the Black Adam attack / C.C and Marilyn died / kidnapped — Amnesiac until a triggering incident occurred and regained her memories after years lived in Middle East / North Africa (especially Egypt), flew back to USA — Billy got adopted by the Bromfields

#4: Puppeteer Billy — Captain Marvel is a puppet / clay — Puppet was given by the wizard — “Shazam” is a spell only exclusive to the Champion to summon / un-summon — Needs to be in the area or else the puppet will stop working

#5: Duo — C.C and Marilyn is the Champion instead — Needs to be together when transform (can’t transform alone) — C.C is the offensive and Marilyn is the defensive — Both Billy and Mary went on the archeologies trip to Kahndaq and unfortunately lost their lives in their parents arms

#6: Clay origin — Not Diana type of origin — Still Greek — Created to be a vessel for the Wizard and bestowed the power down — Cannot defy the duty as the Champion after Black Adam (a human) went rogue (bro can’t escape his villainy)

I require CC and Marilyn to be like Odysseus and Penelope in would you fall in love with me again.

I need CC having the type of sentiment to make a bed from the tree he met Marilyn at. To carve the brick of their home from the mountain Marilyn grew up on.

I require Marilyn to not care what atrocities CC commited because she knows he is a good man, that is her husband, the father of her children and the man she loves.

Like a slight AU where CC got stuck in the caves with some of the men sent to kill him and Marilyn but Marilyn got out. Marilyn is so sure that CC is dead but three or four days later he appears, battered and bruised, blood staining his once crisp white shirt and his tan slacks, but none of it is his.

CC who was always the "do good and good will follow" fellow now has blood on his hands, he has killed and would do it again to get back to his wife.

But he is scared, Marilyn always told him how much she loved how kind and gentle he was despite his formidable stature, and now he can only hope she will forgive him for the pain he cause other people.

And Marilyn, who has believed for the last four days that her beautiful caring husband is dead, watches as her brick wall of a man falls to his knees with water welling in his eyes, telling her how he killed the people who were after them, how he regrets nothing, would do it again if it meant she'd be alright, and worries that she will be angry. He is just so sorry.

Marilyn's delicate, sweet, lug is alive and back in her arms, that's all that matters she tells him.

CC does kill again that night, he bashes a man's face in with the butt of his own gun before the man can shoot at Marilyn and Mary. He dies reaching towards Marilyn, telling her how much he loves her and hearing the same back.

They will meet again in one afterlife or another, they will be together in every possibility. Marilyn will not allow her husband to be alone any longer than necessary. He will be in her arms again, and they will wait, hopefully for a long time for their children.

New 52 C.C. Batson being alive but still looking weirdly like shazam has such comedy potential.

Like imagine the hero that randomly popped up in the city you grew up being your doppelgänger.

Maybe Billy saves him one day with the justice league and everyone’s like “WOW, that guy looks exactly like you? How crazy is that??” And Billy has to not blow his cover by the fact that his estranged father his standing right in front of him while C.C. is absolutely bewildered looking at this younger and buffer version of himself.

Do you think he would take advantage of this and become a superhero impersonator?

So I was like, thinking. And I thought of female Billy batson.

What if Billy was a girl and he and Mary were identical twins? His name could be Whitney Batson but she goes by Billie or something (though I like the idea of her still being William and Billy for short more).

And it’s generally accepted that Mary is less forgiving and morally grey in fannon. So what if Mary has a villain arc and the league is like “oh no who do we apprehend???” Because they’re identical or somethin

It would also make homelessness much more dangerous and a harder struggle with Whitney coming into women-hood (periods, breasts, and the dangers young women face on the streets)

I feel like a female Billy would be more social with the local homeless youth and much more of a hard ass

Also I’m on the fence for the idea of marvel still being a man because Whitney idolizes her dad so much or female Captain Marvel and the opportunity for her to have extreme bimbo energy hiding the fact she’s a total badass

OH AND ZATANNA it could really change his/her relationship with zatanna maybe she could be Whitney’s main female and magical mentor

You know, I’ve read a lot of Batman/Captain Marvel fics where billy is actually bruce Wayne’s son due to bruce temporarily getting together with Marilyn either before she meets C.C. Batson or during a point in time that they had temporarily broken up. But I kinda want to see where billy batson is Bruce’s son because he was in a temporary trio with Marilyn and C.C. Batson.
