I don’t really do YouTube much, but every once in a while I’ll get sucked into the channels my husband is a fan of. Two of my favorites that come to mind...

My Self Reliance is a very cool channel by a guy who used to work in finance of some sort and then said eff it, quit his job, sold everything, and bought some land in Canada. He’s built his own cabin and is now finishing building his own sauna/bath house. He has an adorable doggo named Callie.

Delos is a really fun channel if you’re into sailing and/or have an adventurous spirit or enjoy traveling. It’s run by a group of people who have a big ol sailboat, Delos, and they capture every aspect of their voyages from place to place. It’s gorgeous and funny and often awe inspiring.

Tumblr did I tell you guys that we are building a cabin in the woods??? I feel like I never did and all of that has just been on Instagram?? Well here are some photos just from today because the house is becoming so very house shaped and it’s very exciting!! The first photo shows all of the foundation completed and just recently backfilled (by Laine when he was still renting an excavator). Middle photos are of us framing all the floor joists, and then the last is the beginning of the floor coming together! Everything takes forever and nailing things sideways is not great fun but this was a lot of progress for just one day!
