i love how we're making fanfics and edits of dead gay wizards for over ten years and never get tired of it
WIP Wednesday-- Den-Mother Black Zero
Superman's frown deepens. Black Zero cannot think of a single thing less interesting in this or any timeline than Superman's opinion, except maybe for Superman's emotional state, but several of the League members are clearly keeping an eye on it.
Ugh.
"I'm not comfortable with that," Superman says, which is something else that Black Zero couldn't give less of a shit about if he tried.
"It's fine, man, I can totally handle him," Superboy says confidently, and that's just as embarrassingly optimistic and self-important as every single version of himself that Black Zero has ever had the dubious honor of meeting. He genuinely does not understand how they all turned out that way when he's perfectly capable of making objective comparisons and running actual risk assessments. "I handled him fine in Hypertime, didn't I?"
Black Zero sighs in exasperation, glancing accusingly heavenwards for lack of a less annoying direction to be glancing, and doesn't bother pointing out exactly how many of them it took to "handle" him. Though possibly he should, if only to make it clear exactly what these people are dealing with here.
Eh, no, most of them are apparently too stupid to know what tactile telekinesis can even do, so why waste his breath on them anyway?
Though seriously, how is he the only one of them in apparently the entirety of Hypertime who isn't ninety percent ego and bluster and frankly delusional levels of optimism and self-importance? It's honestly mortifying, at this point.
Yesterday I went to IKEA and bought a small straw goat, since we are in temporary accommodation over Christmas and it would be nice to have something small and cheerful.
I come downstairs this morning to find THIS
Thanks, housemate
I’ve found this super secret trick to using the internet that I think others might like. It’s called Life Support Maxxing. (No, I didn’t just make that up this very second)
So, what you do is randomly stumble on someone who’s doing their best to be the thing they want to be and do the stuff they want to do, seeing that they’re not getting the engagement or support they should, and just supporting the fuck out of them.
You can follow, reblog/share their stuff, comment, uplift them when they’re down, check out their other pages, donate/buy/join their patreons (if you can), compliment, offer advice when asked, and just generally show up for them. The best part is, you don’t even have to get anything out of it. Hell, you don’t even have to like MLP or Weed Art or glass cutting or kinky pumpkin stuff. Most of it is free, and costs you maybe ten seconds of your day. And wow, look, you’ve added one more voice of support to a person who could really use it! You really are making a difference!
Plus: you get the added benefit of not feeling quite so horrifically bad about spending 6 hours doomscrolling on your phone because for ten seconds of that time, you did something functional, supportive, and kind. ♥️
So go forth and trip over someone’s random ass account. Take a look at what they’re doing. Notice where they’re struggling or where they lack support. And step in. Even for a little while. Be the person you’ve needed for others, it costs so little and gives so much.
