Doodles inspirados en este fic; M3gan 3.0 !!! 😋😋
This pic but make it M3GAN 👇
Cady found her moms who tried to kill eachother (again) not even half an hour ago
(all flat colours for this one, it took me three days and im tired, also new body new suit for m3gan, but she's still shorter than Gemma because love me a short bitch top)
“Megan only cares about cady because she was built to care if she could disobey that she would!”
NO Megan cares about cady because everyone else in her life wanted money power or just straight up didn’t care about her other than their jobs to built her.
Sure Gemma “loved” Megan but only loved the science and technology around her
Cady is the only one to see Megan as an equal. Cady saw a friend someone to love and be around forever not just a tool weapon or experiment
Megan cares about cady because cady cares about Megan.
Megan probably forgives cady for what she did in the first movie because she realized that she hurt the only person who loved her, it may have not been physical but it was emotional and mentally harmful
(Also tired of seeing the chucky comparisons. Chucky is a grown ass man who likes killing because it’s “funny” Megan never got to experiences family or a mothers womb or skin to skin she just popped into existence she’s going to react violent)
girls and their murderous robot besties ^^
They’ve completely taken over my brain and I’m sad we’ll probably never get to see more of them, but maybe that’s for the best. I’ve seen interviews talking about “M3GAN falling in love in the future”, and honestly, I can’t take another “female AI falls for a man” storyline. Why are stories about female-coded AI always centered on men?
The only “female-centered” AI/human relationships media seems to know are either:
“This robot wants to replace the mom and seduce the husband” (which, let’s be real, is still all about the man), or
“She found a little girl and now she’s the mom.”
Why are the M3GAN films the only ones I can think of that explicitly focus on women? Sure, they lean into the “motherhood” trope with Cady, but whatever is going on between M3GAN and Gemma, especially in the sequel, is genuinely fascinating. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Maybe Alien: Resurrection comes close, but Ripley isn’t exactly “fully human” at that point either.
Hollywood’s attitude seems to be: “Queer AI or just an interesting relationship between a woman and a female-coded AI? Absolutely not! Let’s just recycle another love/horror story with a hypersexualized female robot and a man.” It’s exhausting. If we ever get a third M3GAN movie, I really hope they keep the focus on her bond with Gemma and Cady without dragging a man into it. I love their messed-up little family, and I’d love to see more of them. Huge shoutout to the fanfiction writers, you’re doing one hell of a job. Hollywood could never!
After the first movie, I never thought I’d end up shipping them. At first, I brushed off lines like “our child” from M3GAN, because she was designed to look so childlike, which was the point. But after her 2.0 upgrades and the movie making it clear that M3GAN can take literally any form (because, you know, she’s AI), I was all in. I mean, that body-sharing scene? Hello??!
Also, I don’t get the whole “she’s only 3 years old” argument. Have you seen how fast real-life AI develops and it’s nowhere near M3GAN’s level. You can’t compare her to a human in that regard. Plus, as far as I remember (I could be wrong), we never really learn how long Gemma was working on her. Just that she initially started as a personal chatbot. What we do know is they spent countless nights together, talking about Jane Austen, Janis Joplin, and everything in between. (M3GAN rants about it after Gemma tries to get rid of her in the first film.)
The way the sequel flipped the classic trope of “the AI hates the mom and wants the husband’s attention” into M3GAN despising Christian and teasing Gemma about knowing he isn’t her type? Absolute gold! I still need to see that browser history, because no one can convince me Gemma is straight. She gives such strong gay aunt vibes.
I get why a lot of people interpret Gemma/M3GAN as mother/daughter, and I respect that. I actually love how different perspectives in this fandom coexist without drama. It’s been such a surprisingly mature and chill space. To be honest, I don’t know how Gemma sees her in canon (she probably doesn’t know either. We love our emotionally constipated queen), but I think it’s been well established that M3GAN doesn’t really see herself as her child/daughter. Yes, Gemma made her, but she clearly thinks she is a better fit for the parenting role or at least wants to be seen as Gemma’s equal. She cares deeply for Cady as a friend and guardian and has this wonderfully snarky, bickering dynamic with Gemma, especially in 2.0, where it looks like they hate each other, and Gemma definitely did at first (who could blame her after what happened), but at the end they both care for one another. Would they ever admit it out loud? Probably not.
Poor Cady is stuck with two too-smart-for-their-own-good, but somehow extremely flawed moms. Honestly, I’d love to see the series go full Terminator: Dark Fate and have M3GAN and Gemma raising Cady together.
Anyway, I could rant about this forever, but no one’s reading this anyway. Hope you enjoy this video. No fancy effects/transitions, just an insight into M3GAN and Gemma’s developing relationship.
Claire and Gemma would be great friends
Variety recently interviewed Jason Blum and asked the following:
“And what about M3GAN? Is she done?”
Jason Blum responded: “M3GAN will ride again. I’ll find a way”
Seems like M3GAN might have a chance at getting a third film eventually!

The dynamics in M3GAN are so special to me. Because it tells more about the characters as individuals than it does as dynamic itself.
Gemma and M3GAN. Gemma Forrester is shown to be a perfectionist, yet messy, clumsy, antisocial to an extent, incredibly independent, and she loves being in control. Meanwhile, M3GAN is presented as perfect. She has like, infinite knowledge, she doesn't stumble or stutter, she can multitask, but more importantly, she's very social. It's how she gains knowledge and insight, she's literally built to be a companion. Gemma isn't really close with anyone, even Tess and Cole seem more distant with her than they do each other. We see that she wasn't close with her sister, Nicole, before she died, and she seemed more comfortable in her home with her creations (Elsie, Bruce, etc.) and although she (ARGUABLY) doesn't need anyone else, she wants someone. Elsie reveals this when she mentions Gemma's on dating apps when bringing Cady home for the first time. But even with Cady around, she still chooses to hermit herself in her office, working. M3GAN was made to be close with people. She's obviously close with Cady (which I will speak more about them later), and she spent so long with Gemma--as revealed before their final fight in the first movie--and she doesn't see herself how Gemma and almost everyone else does, as this tool, or doll, or robot, but as equal to Gemma. But Gemma sees M3GAN as less than her. Despite the fact that M3GAN can do so much more than Gemma would be able to. Gemma calls Cady, "Not [her] child." M3GAN refers to Cady as both Gemma and M3GAN's child. Their personalities clash a LOT within the two films. Gemma wants to be in control over situations, but M3GAN can and does take control over situations. Gemma after making a robot and somehow getting into the most deadly situationship of all time:
M3GAN and Cady. Cady James is this depressed, hollow 11-year-old girl for the beginning of the movie, after her parents die in that car accident. And, rightfully, she acts that way. She's dealing with an uncomfortable amount of grief for a child her age. Of course she's going to be shut-in, quiet, misbehave, lash out, be irrational at times, etc. And of course she's going to be so dependent on M3GAN, who is so much more capable of parenting than Gemma is. M3GAN's always there, always listens, "always knows what to say," according to Cady herself. Cady, despite her "flaws", was the only one to see M3GAN as more than just a tool, or a doll, or a robot, but as a person. "I know you think of her as a friend--" "She IS my friend!" Regardless of how M3GAN is programmed to care for Cady or if she's completely gained her autonomy, her care for Cady is real. There should be no denying that.
Hey, guys, so there was definitely a point to this, but I totally lost it.... I'm sure you guys can string something together to make sense of this post..
