There are so few hours left before the episode actually airs, adn I feel that I've gotta spew all ideas onto my keyboard, quickly! So, the creators said that when they referenced Mary's death scene, they couldn't talk about it directly for fear of leaks, so they would say, "Mary gets CAKE." And then, in TLD, John and Sherlock go with Molly to get CAKE.
Okay fine, the one true ship has been revealed and the fandom cannot deny it any longer. I give in.
