In your AU how did Callidora and Charis feel after Cedrella was disowned?
Ooo good question. Sorry it took me a while.
Each sister is uniquely different. Callidora would eventually find genuine love with Harfang yet she needed the familial approval to even be allowed to feel such frivolity. She was in shock yet not entirely surprised. Out of the two, it was Callidora who knew of the relationship between Cedrella and Septimus the most. I see all the sisters as very close yet Callidora is the one who had more experience given she’s the firstborn, being seen as a typical woman of her time doing her duty by securing a true pureblood match, hence the Longbottoms were considered “acceptable enough” to an extent by the House of Black. There are times when she and Harfang are very encouraging towards the two, especially when Cedrella stayed over at the Longbottom estate for a week. She does see Cedrella’s decision as rebellious and courageous, becoming the disobedient daughter who choose to carve her own path instead of the whole straight and narrow to make her parents feel good about themselves.
Charis, being the youngest and having a more gentler aristocratic appearance, would know that love and freedom can come at a very high and horrendous price. Since she is the third born, she admired both of her sisters, yet it was Cedrella she would envy because despite being married herself, the marriage between her and Caspar wasn’t one what would call a love match. She was scared mostly for Cedrella since she knew that any misstep within the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black would lead to disownment and disinherited. Charis would be left with an unimaginable hole in her heart and feel that type of sorrow. To combat this, she did find genuine joy and solace in raising her children.
I headcanon that Callidora and Charis were already married before Cedrella was disowned. Both would keep in quiet touch with Cedrella: The Longbottoms were more friendlier to the Weasleys and Harfang was very supportive and Caspar was always too busy and too preoccupied with Ministry duties even pay attention.
Dress designs and ideas for Callidora, Cedrella, and Charis. I headcanon that Cedrella’s designs are inspired by photo numbers two, four, five, and six.
All were young women in the early to mid 1920s, and married though I headcanon Cedrella was the last to marry, which will be explored in later posts.

― callidora longbottom, per noctem in nihilo vehi.
golden honey, sisters who know you better than anyone, bearing the weight of the family name, the flutter of moth wings, an elegant script, parchment bound in wax and twine, ‘she looked like art’, a family tree with more branches than leaves, gothic architecture and vaulted ceilings, the click of your shoes on a marble floor, black tea in china cups, accents of silver and emerald green, ‘she loves moonlight and rainstorms and so many other things that have soul’, the gleam of black ink, fingers smudged with ink from the newspaper, being torn two ways, lace necklaces, crisp white handkerchiefs, delicate silver rings.
― connections make us stronger.
harfang longbottom: spouse, love of her life. cedrella and charis black: sisters, close relationship. clara gamp: former friends, fell out of touch after school. dorea potter: enjoys spending time with.
― details, we love madly in details.
callidora is a thirty-one year old pureblood. some would call her UTP, but she would argue that she is UTP. callidora uses she/her pronouns and has a faceclaim of UTP.
callidora is currently available for applications.
Who are the children of Callidora, Cedrella, and Charis in your version? Also, what is your headcanons on Cedrella?
I don't really have any headcanons on Cedrella. I mostly write about Sirius and Regulus and the family members in their orbit, so since Cedrella was disowned she doesn't get much page time, unfortunately!
I've made Barty Crouch Sr one of Charis's children. iirc she also has two daughters according to the family tree, but I haven't named them (yet). Also haven't named Callidora's children, though if I've made Frank Longbottom her nephew, then I suppose one of her children could be Neville's Great-Uncle Algie!
Would it be ok to ask if you have any headcanons on Callidora, Cedrella, and Charis? They’re my favorite
Yes, of course!
I haven't written much (anything?) about Cedrella, but Callidora and Charis have made a brief appearance in my WIP, and they're a bit of a double act. Very old-fashioned, desperately proud, insistent on being called 'auntie' by everyone, gossipy and strict and always heckling Arcturus and Orion for more gold.
They're very judgemental, especially of the younger generation(s) who take more of a pride in their appearance than Callidora and Charis think they should - in an upcoming chapter, Sirius mentions that Callidora has a saying, 'vanity is unbecoming in a wizard', which in his opinion explains why she married a Longbottom.
In Chapter 11, Callidora finally manages to corner Arcturus and get him to agree to give her newly-married nephew, Frank Longbottom, one of the Black properties ('Just a modest property...Four or five bedrooms should suffice') - but whether or not he wants his aunt pestering other family members on his behalf, or even the property at all, is another matter.
Charis makes a life-changing appearance for Regulus in a chapter or two, when she brings her grandson, the young Bartemius Crouch, to visit Grimmauld Place. She's disappointed that it's Regulus there to greet him instead Sirius, but our Reg is secretly glad that he might have a chance to impress Barty without being overshadowed by his brother, and perhaps might even manage to make a new friend.
