SOCIAL DISTANCING DAY 477. Going camping next week, so we’re dragging everything out into the light—we were going to go with that big gray tent airing out in the background but this old classic #Galyans model which we outgrew when there were five of us is now just right for two of us and Phoebe. I like the little billed cap-look to the rain fly. That green air mattress failed the “should we keep it” test. And maybe most of all we’re looking forward to making stuff in those two cast iron sandwich presses. Real meaty lasagne. This will be featuring in the camping festival food this weekend. Whenever there’s a festival there’s usually a burger wagon and chip van selling cr#p so we plan ahead and I’ve made most of the meals we need and packed loads of snacks. Although hubby and I aren’t ‘snackers’ when we are walking round all day and doing activities the children do get hungry so it’s good to be prepared with pork crackling, snacking chorizo, nuts and seeds and biltong.
