On tariffs being postponed
Donald Trump postponed the tariffs that were set to be implemented in Canada in February to be reinstated later. Why?
In my opinion, to some extent, he knows that it will actually do only bad things for his economy.
People will boycott American-made products, and those American companies will, possibly, have to lay off employees. That’s not good for the economy.
Or they may just simply lose enough profit to no longer fund their own production, and disperse the company. That’s not good for the economy, either.
Or Canada will shut off the power grid and raise the prices of their minerals they sell to America. That’s not good for the economy.
Donald Trump never was the option for the economy. He was the option if you want a bigoted dictatorship. If you can’t see that, there is a big problem with how you view him.
If you’re a queer person and voted for him, you voted against yourself. If you’re a poor person and voted for him, you voted against yourself. If you’re a POC who voted for him, you voted against yourself. If you’re a woman who voted for him, you voted against yourself. If you’re a non-Christian who voted for him, you voted against yourself.
At this point in time, I can no longer hold sympathy for those who wanted his presidency. If you did, or still do, just put the eagle on your coat in the same place the swastika was on Nazi uniforms.
He never wanted to boost the economy, he wanted to make himself king.
