The Devil's in the Details Chapter 27
Chapter 27 is up. Hastur seems to know more than he should. Is there a traitor among the group?
Excerpt:
"We should hurry," I said. "This is a small town. We have to assume Hastur will figure out where we are soon." "He knows," Eric said, their eyes wide. "He just asked a human for directions to this place." Everyone started yelling at once. "What? How?" "We've been betrayed!" Fingers were pointed. Insults levied. "I bet it was you." "Don't be ridiculous. It was obviously one of the demons." "Maybe you ratted us out to Dagon." "It's obviously Eric." "Shut it," Crowley yelled, getting to his feet. "Stop wasting time and stick to the plan. Adam"—he picked up the folder and keys to the house he'd just purchased—"you can still teleport inside your own shield, right?" "Yeah, but only me and the people I bring with me." He held the folder out to the boy. "Good. Then take your family and the other angels there and get the trap set up.” He addressed the other angels. “Don't skimp on the power." I leaned in to speak to Crowley quietly. "Are you sure? If we've been betrayed—" "It'll be okay, angel," he said, running a hand over my bicep. "Trust me."
