“But mom,” Henry whined, “please can I come with you guys?”
“Henry, you said yourself it was finals week and that there was much studying to do, remember?” Emma put her hands on her hips, “school’s almost going to end anyways, and Snow and David are going to take you to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And you are going to get a lot, and I mean a lot of stuff.”
“And it’s not every day you get to spend a day with your grandparents without them turning all lovey dovey with each other,” Killian added while filing his hook and just that moment Emma snatched it from his hands. He shot her a dirty look which totally said that was totally unnecessary but you’re lucky I love you look and continued, “and from what I heard, Snow’s a pretty huge Harry Potter fan, whatever that is, and I’m quite sure she’d drag you all around the place.”
“I can hear you,” Snow announced her presence standing behind the sofa where Emma and Killian were sitting. “You’d get a whole day with us and Regina, Robin and Roland, what’s wrong with that?”
“Nothing, really,” Henry didn’t meet anyone’s eyes. “I just wanted to go to Disneyland with them.” After a moment of silence, he added, “I’ll stay though.”
“How about we get Robin or Snow to give you a few archery lessons, and David to give you some sword lessons?” Emma suggested, eyeing her father. “Deal?”
“Yeah, but you have to agree to give me riding lessons too,” Henry sweetened the deal, looking at David.
“Wow okay, he’s going to go places when he grows up,” David chuckled, commenting at his grandson's addition to the deal. “Of course I’d give you riding lessons.”

“Take no offence David, but I think I’m better at sword fighting than you,” Killian remarked as his goodbye to his father-in-law. “I mean, I definitely had more training than you did.”
“I clearly remember knocking you out cold back in the Enchanted Forest,” Emma commented, making her way to hug her parents.
“I threw that fight, love. You know it, or else you wouldn’t be here today,” he shot back, his gaze turning back to David. “I’d win you any old day,” he challenged.
“Captain Egotistic, that’s enough,” Emma called out from the other side of the room, “come on, we’re going.”
“But--”
Emma silenced him with a kiss. “You’re lucky I’m letting you wear that hook, if you cause one bad thing,” she taunted, “you will never see it again, you hear me?”
“Aye, my love,” he replied, following her out of the loft and into her bug.

“Are we there yet?” Killian complained, “how much longer? We’re going to die in this bloody vehicle.”
“It’s only been like an hour, come off it, you spent over 300 years in Neverland. May I ask what you did then?” Emma shot back, rolling her eyes.
“Drink rum,” was the simple two words that came out of his mouth and he pulled out a flask.
“Oh don’t you dare, mister,” Emma snatched the bottle from his hand and threw it out the window.
“Oi! I don’t think that’s legal,” he commented, as she started driving faster away from the bottle of rum.
“You’re only in trouble if you get caught,” she tried to quote Aladdin but she was sure that wasn’t the quote. Emma looked over to see him looking at her with an eyebrow raised. “What?”
“That’s your motto?” he asked, almost scoffing.
“Something wrong with it?” she challenged.
“Nope,” Killian replied quite quickly, shaking his head quickly and started to examine his hook as if it was the first time he had ever seen it.
“Good,” she said with a smile and they resumed driving in silence.

“Come on, you’ve been complaining all day long, we’re finally here. I thought you’d be more excited,” Emma dragged him through the gates and into Disneyland.
“So, this is it?” Emma nodded and he continued, “I would have thought it would be… fancier, you know?”
“Well, it doesn’t need to be fancy to be the happiest place in the world,” she shrugged.
“Huge lies, if you ask me,” he muttered under his breath as they walked around.
“And why would that be a lie?”
“A place can’t be the happiest place in the world,” he countered. “There are millions of places that are considered ‘the happiest place in the world’.”
“Okay, Captain Obvious, are you done?”
“Maybe,” was his reply and they continued walking around, hand in hand, stopping every once in a while for he was, in her words, ‘asking ridiculous questions.’
“You want to meet yourself?” Emma asked out of the blue as they made their way around the place for the second time since Killian didn’t want to go on any rides or anything.
“That hideous version of me?”
“... Yeah, that version,” she said slowly.
“Alright then, I get to get some sense into him,” he threatened and Emma held him back. “Honestly, woman. You know I absolutely hate the Disney version of ‘me’.”
“I know you do, well enough, but you honestly don’t believe that a completely innocent person inside a hook suit doing it for a living should be punched, do you?”
“Okay then, if you insist. Who made that version of me?”
“Long dead he is, long dead.”
“Wait, the Disney version of you?”
“No,” he replied sarcastically, “take me to the deceased man’s gave, won’t you?”
“Alrighty then,” Emma laughed, “follow me this-a way.”
“Whoa, hold up,” he said when they got there. “Are you telling me I have to wait in line to meet that crap ass version of me?”
“Umm… yeah, pretty much,” Emma pushed him in line behind a little girl dressed as Wendy Darling and a boy in a Peter Pan costume, “go on.”
Emma watched him stand in line impatiently for she was sitting on a bench not too far away. “Hey, mom,” she answered her phone. “Yeah, we’re having a great time, great unless you ask Killian.”
“Why what happened?” Snow asked from the other side of the phone.
“He’s just really offended because of the Disney Hook. He’s in line now.”
“But that was like months and months ago,” Snow stated. “And wait, did you say he’s in line to meet Hook. You’re watching him, right?”
“I am, I am,” Emma replied quickly, watching as the line move a few more feet. “How’s Henry?”
“He’s enjoying the lessons more than he though,” her mother let out a quick laugh. “Annoys everyone so much that they have to give him the lessons.”
“I knew he’d love it, how long are those lessons anyways?”
“Two hours minimum,” she replied, “well I have to go, we’ll call you later.”
“Bye mom,” Emma said, hung up the phone, and made her way to Killian who was next to meet Hook. “If you do anything inappropriate, I’m going to get you.”
“I’ll be waiting for that,” he smirked and she pulled out her phone, trying to take a picture.
“You’re hook?” he said, “but I’m hook!” Killian raised his left hand smiled for a photo.
“But if you’re Hook, and I’m Hook, then who’s flying the plane?!” Emma just had to say that. Everyone within earshot laughed except for Killian, whom didn’t understand.
“....What?”
“Nothing,” she replied all too quickly and grabbed his arm, “come on, there are other people you might want to meet.”
*
“So you’re telling me they have no bloody edible food here?”
“There’s food here.”
“I mean drinks.”
“Killian, this park is for family fun not get drunk off your yo ho ass,” Emma sighed, giving him a hotdog to eat.
“Well, I think it should for you threw my rum flask out the window.”
“No,” was her simple reply.
“But-- But you love me,” he pouted and she gave him a quick kiss.
“Exactly. That’s why I want to see how long you can last without rum.”
“Not long, that’s what,” he muttered under his breath, finishing up his food.
“Come on,” she dragged him away after they finished their food, “we’re going on a ride.”
“No, bloody hell. Never,” the look in his eyes were priceless.
“Why are you scared of a ride? It’s nothing bad.”
“What if something breaks or you fall or something?”
“It sounds to me that the fearless Captain Hook is afraid of some kitty rides.”
“Am not!” he shouted, louder than necessary.
“Prove it,” she wore a winning smirk. “Come on, it’s just a boat ride.”
“Long line, maybe we could come back later.” They were barely even in sight with the ride and Killian was already turning back.
“Nope,” she caught his arm, “it’s not going to take that long, Killian. You know there’s more than one boat, right?”
“Oh,” was what he said and Emma just burst out laughing. “Stop,” he muttered quietly, his face flushed pink.
*
“You said it wouldn’t take long.”
“You said you would stop complaining.”
“You know I never said that right?”
“It was worth a shot,” Emma checked her phone. “We’ve been in this like for like-- what? Five minutes?”
“Long time,” he commented, playing with his hook.
“We’re practically at the front of the line.”
“What’s your point?”
“I--” Emma stopped there and sighed. This was useless. He was never going to stop complaining was he?
“See, it’s our turn,” there was a small family of five before them and they were all going in. “Now go in and stop complaining.”
*
“Come on come on!” They had been on a few more rides and it was late right now. “Come on come on come onnn,” she was practically dragging him across the park at top speed.
“Whoaa, is there somewhere we need to be?”
“Fireworks,” was all she said and she loosened her grip and they ran together.
“You mean those things that people light up and they explode or something?”
“Yeah, those,” she was in his arms now, and that was the best place in the world. “Just wait for it.”
“There,” she said, pointing to the first firework in the sky. “It’s beautiful isn’t it?” she asked as a whole bunch more ascended and started to fill the sky with colors.
“Aye, beautiful indeed,” Killian agreed, but he wasn’t looking at the fireworks in the sky, he was looking right at Emma.
“The fireworks, silly,” she let her head rest on his chest. “Look at the fireworks.”
“Why should I when you’re better than them all combined?”
“Ohmygod, seriously?”
“Oh yeah, reminds me of something,” he took his hand and hook and turned Emma until she was facing him. He pulled out a ring and before he could even get down on a knee, she said yes. Said technically wasn’t the word for it, it was more like screamed. “I didn’t even start,” he commented, smiling ear to ear. He struggled to slide the ring on her finger for she looked like she was going to faint any second.
“I love you,” was all he heard before their lips met. A few minutes later, she pulled away and snuggled as close to him as she could.
“Who ever thought you were going to marry the Captain Hook?” he chuckled, kissing her hair. “I love you too.”
