Back on my Khaenriahn Descendant AU bs
(Btw I forgot to mention, Mika is also a Khaenriahn Descendant)
(Also possible OOC warning for Capitano? He's turning into a Platonic Yandere for all the Khaenriahn Descendants he's meeting and will meet in the future, so yeah...)
So I was thinking about Capitano and his soldiers stumbling upon Mika, who was scouting and mapping out the area, in the middle of Natlan. And when Capitano looks at him all he sees is his home, long gone but still deeply missed, in those starry blue eyes.
(He hasn't seen another Khaenriahn other than Pierro for so, so long...)
After a bit of talking to the wary young Khaenriahn, because that child is a Khaenriahn whether they like it or not, he leads them to the Knights' camp.
There he finds that most, if not all of the Knights running around had those same starry eyes. Hell, if Thrain didn't know better he'd have thought this was a Khaenriahn Camp. Mika leads him and his Fatui Soldiers further into the Camp, the action earning confused and wary glances in their direction. Obviously the Knights of Favonius weren't fond of the Fatui. Thrain's heart hurt at the thought, with both him and the Khaenriahn Souls inside him in agreement that such hostility to your fellow Khaenriahn simply wouldn't do.
Before Thrain could think more Mika meekly gestured to the big, wide open tent. (Kinda like the one in Favonius Keep)
"T-The Grandmaster is in there, the one you wanted to meet with?"
The young Khaenriahn then quickly fleed to the what he believes to be the Grandmaster's side, speaking to the tall blonde in hushed tones. Said tall blonde then turned around and- oh
Thrain was met with the most beautiful of starry blue eyes he had ever had the pleasure of seeing, it seemed even the Grandmaster of Mondstadt was a Khaenriahn himself.(CapiVarka? Anyone?)
(It was at that moment that the First Harbinger realized, he'd do anything to protect these Khaenriahn Descendants. Even if they didn't wish to be protected. Suddenly even his goal for Natlan seemed smaller and less important than he thought it was just a few minutes ago...)
With some talking it was agreed that the Fatui would aid the Knights of Favonius in their expedition, and they didn't need to pay them back in any way shape or form. For Thrain, even just seeing all these Khaenriahns, alive and uncursed, was enough of a payback.
Now, he quickly needed to write to Pierro to tell him about this. He'd surely be just as over the moon about these news as he was.
That's all for now, probably'll do more later. Bye!👋
Somehow, you put me in ANOTHER chokehold, because Platonic YANDERE Capitano??? Oh, this is some good food!
First off, I love that Capi meets Mika first, and I'm honestly shocked that he didn't capture Mika when he saw his starry eyes-
But then they get to the camp, I can already see Capit- no, THRAIN was spiraling, because these were HIS people. Even the Khaenri'ahian souls within him were reacting to these descendants! So many young souls untouched by the curse, free of the pain of immortally or the curse of the wilds-
And YES, I love Thrain having a love at first sight moment with Varka. Cause who wouldn't fall for that himbo? 🤭
Though, this now makes me wonder how Thrain would react if Varka, once he was more comfortable with the Harbinger and his fatui agents, proudly shows off some pictures of some of his 'kids' back in Mondstadt.
Note, I'm throwing in Razor as a Khaenri'ahian descendants cause I think it would be cute-
Thrain sees even MORE starry eyes. A pair of sisters (Jean/Barbara), a wild wolf boy(Razor), and a young Cavalry Captain (Kaeya)-
And that's not even to say the many other starry eye civilians he sees scattered around various photos! How has no one noticed this?!
And oh boy, I can only imagine Pierro's reaction to the news once Thrain's letter reaches him
