Hi, I'm Anton. I'm 17 years old and want to start a blog about my life with a disability because I have heard that more higher support needs autistics are on Tumblr than on other platforms.

My conditions and official stuff:

I have the following conditions♿️:

- autism (moderatesupportneeds)🧩

- adhd

- ocd

- anxiety disorder😱

- ptsd

- infantile eye nystagmus 👁(A condition which causes my eyes to wiggle 24/7 automatically. I'm 1% over the border to the visual impairment in my country because of it. I have 30% of normal vision.)

I'm officially severely disabled, in need of care, and incapable of work.

My life situation:

I live at a residential care home.🏠 Under the week while day, I'm at a special workplace ⚒️for disableds, but I don't do the work the others do. I'm mostly in my safe haven and doing things on my phone📱. My safe haven is a bed with a roof which my caretaker has built because the special workplace is a woodwork. When I started at the special workplace I did the normal work, but it led to Meltdowns nearly every day. Which would be a bigger problem now where I love at the residential care home because my mom had more time to calm me than the caretakers at the residential care home have.

In autumn 2025, I will move into another residential care home because my federal state wants it. Now I live at a residential care home for adults (and 16-17 year olds) with intellectual disabilities but I have a normal IQ 🧠 so my federal state wants me to move into a residential care home for psychiatric disabilities which autism is according to the Austrian system of disability categorization.

My disability aids:

I wear my eardefenders 🎧 nearly the whole day. They have built in Bluetooth. When I talk with others, I wear them only on one ear. I often have fidgettoys with me and I nearly ever have my comfort item with me. My comfortitem is a plushie pig 🐷 called Nilschwein. He is called that way because he is a pig but looks a bit like a hippo. The German word for pig is Schwein and the German word for hippo is Nilpferd. I wore glasses when I was younger but now I don't wear them. The reason is that they hurt under my eardefenders. My eye doctor said that not wearing glasses can't make the vision of people with eye nystagmus worse if they are older than 8 years. Additionally, my glasses don't really help me. The reason is that eye nystagmus can not really be corrected by glasses. I see much better without my glasses than the average person with astigmatism without their glasses, but I see much worse with my glasses than the average person with astigmatism with their glasses.

Queer stuff:

I'm a transboy 🏳️‍⚧️♂️ and aroace🏳️‍🌈. (Aroace = asexual + aromantic). I had my coming out when I was 11 years old. My whole environment calls me Anton. I will change my name and gender legally soon.

Other information:

I live in Austria. 🇦🇹

The area where I need the most support is the area of life skills to due issues with executive dysfunction. There I'm definitely MSN. The area where I need the least support is the area of language. I'm fully verbal, and only sometimes I have issues to speak.
