Caribbean reef sharks at Tiger Beach! I love these sharks because most people see this species on their very first shark dive which is perfect for them to fall in love and want to see the bigger ones! @jim_abernethy #shark #beautiful #sharkdiving #tigerbeach #epic #caribbeanreefshark #lovesharks (at Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures & Marine Life Art Gallery)
#Repost @hayleyjocarr (@get_repost) ・・・ #sharkweek Day #7 Here I have a #caribbeanreefshark in Tonic Immobilty with a #nurseshark watching! 💙🦈Tonic immobility is a reflex that causes a temporary state of inactivity in an animal – similar to hypnosis. It’s been observed in a variety of different species. Although it can occur naturally, it can be induced in sharks by stimulating the tiny sensory pores (Ampullae of Lorenzini) located on the snout. We use Tonic immobility to subdue them to be able to remove fishing hooks, wire, ropes and other things they can become entangled in so it's an important skill to learn. I often see #remoras swim over the sharks snout and put them into Tonic and it's crazy to see them swimming one minute and then into Tonic due to this Sucker Fish! It only last a few seconds but great to see! @stuartcovesdivebahamas @stuartcoveconservation #sharkweek2017 #savesharks #sharklove #tonicimmobility #goprowithhayleyjo #marineconservation #lovelife #instagood
Caribbean Reef Sharks are at more ecotourism shark dives than any other species. These beautiful sharks are known as the starter shark for beginner shark divers, before wanting to see the big ones! They essentially show the true nature of sharks for millions of first timers! We must ban the shark fin trade worldwide! Save the sharks! @jim_abernethy #beautiful #bethechangetheworldneeds #epicencounters #sharks #bethevoice #sharkdiving #saveprotectedanimals #finbannow #friendofnature #caribbeanreefshark #natureinspiration #jimabernethysscubaadventures
Caribbean reef shark in Magic light! With over 90% of all the large sharks on the planet already removed in the last 50 years, we must do all we can to save what few creatures are here. Over 50% of the air we breathe and 70% of the protein we eat comes directly or indirectly from our oceans! Being responsible for keeping our oceans in balanced and healthy no matter where we live on the planet we need a healthy population of sharks! @jim_abernethy #ilovesharks #healthyoceans #saveocean #savesharks #naturephotography #natureart #natureart #epicimages #epicencounters #marineprotectedzones #saveplanetearth #conservation #magic #magiclight #beautiful #sharksaver #sharkart #caribbeanreefshark #reefshark #jimabernethysscubaadventures

Caribbean Reef sharks are a sure sign of a healthy reef! These two are enjoying their beautiful home at Tiger Beach! We have been using affection to make friends with sharks, gaining their trust, in order to remove their hooks, since 2003.
