HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN YOLO CRYSTAL FANTASY??
AAAHCK! Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is so peak!!
tell me why I only heard about this show once or twice before watching it?? Like hello???
So I'ma give a HUGE glaze of it while I'm swept up rn if you wanna read
Look I have watched many underrated cartoons in my lifetime, I love them and while I believe they all deserve more attention I understand that some are going for a very specific vibe and might not appeal to as wide an audience
But this time I do NOT get it, do not get it at all. With it's varying impactful topics and the incredibly emotionally expressive way they talk about them by using such creative, fun and bold art and animation that makes the creators passion for the subject crystal clear, yeah I don't why I haven't seen this show be yapped about everywhere already
It's an episodic show that's actually quite good at consistency and remembering previous plotlines and the character's previous lessons without leaving that general structure, it balances between being whimsy fun and emotionally tense really well!!

And Lunella Lafayette is such a good protagonist!!
Especially with the way they write her being super duper big brain science-y smart. The show deeply values this quality in such an optimistic loving way, her and those around her get to celebrate as loudly as she deserves, but she's still able to use that intelligence to make mistakes without taking away from what's good about it. She's still realistically an insecure 13 year old that gets her confidence hugely shaken many times and she can use her smarts for very impulsive bad decisions for her to learn from. I feel like I often don't connect with smart trope characters because they use that in one specific way, but they use her intelligence very dynamically if that makes sense and it doesn't consume her whole character while still being a very important part of it.
Also unlike a lot of smart characters she's not emotionally detached either, she loves her family and friends and community so openly, it serves as such a strong emotional motivator for her in so many ways and it's so rewarding to see her becoming increasingly compassionate over the course of the series, top tier superhero!!
Devil is also such a good animal sidekick!
I feel like a lot of animal sidekicks are just there to be cute (which he is that too) but Devil has such a personality and genuinely just feels like one of the human characters without the talking. He has consistently reoccurring insecurities and wants that are treated importantly, and his whole dynamic with Lunella is so cuteeee!!

When this show gets really optimistic, it doesn't make the difficult moments any less hurtful, it actually makes them hurt more because the good moments don't feel cheesy or fake they just feel really important and like the creators had a lot of passion and love for what they want to say
I'm not a fan of fight scenes, but these ones with their bright colours and music they're so emotionally charged to watch
anyway I could keep going but that's all I will say about it for now that I can articulate well,
Deeply pissed this show's season 3 got cancelled (and that it's trans episode got banned), I really want to see way more of it
🪐 CARTOON REVIEW: Carol and The End of The World 🪐
[...] Carol and The End of The World is less about The End of The World and more about how we can live our lives when it feels that way. While it's important to recognize the bigger picture and re-assess what you need to be doing at any given moment, it's equally important that you find a way to tune out the Doom and give your time and attention to your family, whoever they may be. It's a love letter specifically to people who find solace in routine and comfort in numbers, yet it doesn't denigrate other forms of Distraction in the process. Inevitably, it will be a little too weird and uneasy for some folks, but there's a genuine warmth beneath it that sells its message perfectly, and I whole-heartedly recommend it to those looking for that kind of inner peace. My life has FINALLY slowed down enough to post more. I took a break after finishing the FiM finale, but I’m back with my thoughts.
The final episode? Beautiful, Stunning, Could not have been better. Impactful. Made me cry. I love my horses and creatures. The final battle was executed well and I enjoyed how the resolution was written.
I adored seeing all of the various mane 6 next to each like this- it really hit home for me. It was an epic battle.
BUT
I HATE
WHAT DROVE THE CONFLICT
SO MUCH OHMYGOD WHY DID THEY DO THAT!!!!
They butchered my man Discord’s character growth??? It just doesn’t make sense imo.
A Show I Could Never Hate
I know some people don't like it that much, but a show you could NEVER make me hate is Ben 10 Omniverse. I love the Ben 10 series, the classic series being my favorite, but I could NEVER hate Ben 10 Omniverse. What's yours?
Gameoverse might just be my FAVORITE show from Glitch already. Like in terms of worldbuilding and the overall retro game theme, I am deeply in LOVE with the pilot and cannot wait to see what directions the show goes through in the future.
And time to remind again, Glitch got their start from very simplistic Mario parodies focusing on the idea of the heroic plumber being a dumb asshole who thinks of nothing but spaghetti. Now look at them, they’re the biggest name in web animation since Homestar Runner. It’s just such BEAUTIFUL improvement, dawg..
So I just finished Season 1 of Space Goofs and MAN was it a joy to watch!!
Incredible voice acting, witty humor AND great and memorable characters! Though there were SOME episodes that were meh and had insensitive jokes of the times it was only a handful. I highly recommend the show if anyone needs some silly monster men in these trying times ^^
Im not gonna go TOO in depth into this cause im just a casual watcher, i will say even though all the characters are very charming and funny in their own right, I DO have favorites...God i love these two so much,,
SPOILERS BELLOW IF ANYONE CARES
I honestly wasn't concerned going into the Phineas and Ferb revival, and so far, I was right to have no fear! The writing is on point, with a ton of unexpected references and creative ideas I'm surprised they didn't tackle before.
Even the rigged animation doesn't bug me as much as I thought it would. I could do without all the front-facing Baljeet shots, though.
I won't properly rank Season 5 until the whole thing's out, but so far it's about on par with Season 1. Really solid, but just a tad rusty.
