Cryptid of the Day: Carvana
Description: In the mid-19th century, in the swamp lands of eastern Texas, a Mexican migrant named Aluna alleged that his livestock were killed by a mysterious mauler. He linked the killings to early reports of skeletons found in the area; skeletons that resembled giant turtles with the head of an alligator.
u tellin me this guy invented the car vending machine
Key piece of the Jimmie Johnson experience: his Carvana commercials.
What’s the most unusual Pokemon you’ve heard of someone befriending? And by that, I mean any Pokemon who typically don’t trust humans, personality-wise or species-wise.
Hmmm. That's hard because I don't think it's too weird for any pokemon and human to be friends if they have a strong bond.
I guess to the vast majority of people there might be some odd friendships, so by that logic, I guess the time I met an older trainer who was friends with a small school of Carvanha, and would take walks with them along the water.
I think he had one that was his and he would let it out on the waterfront and just walk with a school of 4-5 Carvanha and they would all just chill.
Me and Minnie saw this and thought we had to save the man but he explained it to us and it was pretty amazing to see.
Minnie was incredibly fascinated, and almost jumped in to see them, but we had to stop her and test how aggressive they were.
Ultimately it was a pretty unique experience. A man walking his fish.
Things that Ernie Garcia III could’ve done instead of laying off 2,500 human people with lives and families and potential:
Taken a pay cut
Had himself and his other executives take a pay cut
Not purchased ADESA USA (which, btw, is also resulting in something like 1100 of their employees losing their jobs)
Asked daddy for a few more dollars :(
Literally anything else
I’m just baffled that one of our company values is “we’re all in this together,” and yet instead of sacrificing anything himself, he threw lower level employees under the bus. Rather than taking a pay cut, he completely rocked the lives of two thousand five hundred individuals. But I’m so sowwy you and your dad lost $11 billion dollars :( more money than any two people should have :( meanwhile I had to ask my parents to cover my rent this month because my hours got cut for a month for no discernible reason. Meanwhile I know Vroom is hiring people to do the same damn thing I’m doing STARTING at $20/hr and I’m making $18.50/hr after having worked here for a year. Meanwhile I had to say goodbye to a coworker who was bright and had potential and contributed so much to this team today. Meanwhile our internal tools app sucks ass and our inventory system can’t keep up with our volume. Meanwhile we have several lawsuits because we can’t wait to get a title before we turn around and sell a car, or worse we don’t know how to do registration paperwork correctly even though we’re a car dealership. Meanwhile there is no way in HELL that 150 point inspection is getting done on every one of these vehicles. Meanwhile the recon that’s getting done is amateur and subpar. Meanwhile I have customers mad at me for shit that’s out of my control.
But yeah, we’re totally all in this together. Definitely feels like you’ve got my back, Ernie. Cool.
this said Carvana on the back…. what?
