Seeking help from more experienced witches.

I’ve read that you should cleanse your Book of Shadows before writing in it. Are there any ways to cleanse a BoS without using candles or sage or salt/salt water? I don’t have access to those things.

I do have some crystals, one or two of them are for absorbing negative energy if I remember correctly. I was thinking I could use one of those in place of the candle/sage etc, but would that work? Is it possible for cleansing to work without any tools? The only things I’ve ever cleansed are my crystals, and I can’t exactly run my book under water.
