canon tunes for us creatures.

well, heart and rocky are sourced from music. so basically all of chonny jash's work. 'sides that, though, any bass-heavy or screaming-type music is definitely rocky's jam. cant name any specific song, though. as for heart, jhariah & will wood. "whose eye is it anyway" comes to mind, as well as will woods earlier work in particular.

the long quiet has a… diverse taste, what with the voices. the cold has a very consistent taste though; a total of three songs, all with similar themes. "cold cold cold" by cage the elephant, "boring" by the pierces, and "bored" by that handsome devil. a lot of us like that handsome devil, especially quiet's subsys. quiet himself enjoys "captain, captain" (a mouthwashing song, surprisingly enough) by the fox's den, "disembodied mind" by sparkbird, "tongues & teeth" by the crane wives, and "would you fall in love with me again" from epic the musical. because feelings.

near, allister, & skull kid have very similar taste. they all like the crybaby & k-12 albums, and penelope scott. also "puppet boy" by devo, to no one's surprise.

I miss you.

There I said it.

Heart, I miss you. Yes I know how can I still miss you after everything. Don't ask me. Maybe it was because I am afraid of betrayal at this point. Maybe it was because I did realize im nothing without you. Or soul.

Where else would I have found space if I was simply too tired to feel. Too tired to be. Too tired to exist. Too tired to offer solutions.

Or when I was too scared because I didn't understand.

But mostly. I do miss feeling safe enough to fall, I miss just falling asleep knowing that I won't be falling into a dark pit again. I miss the clarity you offered me.

Now I just miss you so much.

ughhhh kin memories hitting hard. my eyes r stinging cos im not supposed to have them and b cursed w the burden of sight. my back hurts from broken, bent, sore wings i dont have. the smell of smoke wrenches my stomach and cold metal and rough, dry dirt on my skin makes me homesick. i miss concord but somehow i also miss cacophony simply because i miss them

it’s so funny watching people make me act as if i worship the very dirt footprints that whole makes with every stride. like no bitch IM the one with the god complex. i moreso get in trouble with whole like im a kid who’s throwing a fit and he’s the parent. i KNOW how uncool this mfer is IM APART OF HIM!!!! i know i know that most cccckins get nostalgic about concord, or get negative kin memories related to cacophony or specifically the juno incident, but for some reason it’s /pos to me. idk. having been able to lash out and get violent and prove i was worth listening to must have been so fire. and i really miss apathy for some reason. cool, soft dirt all around me, the only sound my breathing and occasional muffled echoes of mind’s voice checking on me, no light to sear through my eyes. like 30% of the time when i get phantom wings they make my shoulders ache because they’re plucked and sore from apathy and idk why that’s comforting. i know it was a punishment, but i like to think i could have stayed down there longer if i wanted to. until we were in concord again. sometimes even the dimmest light makes my eyes sting

poetry is a weirdly validating outlet for our emotions.

i mean, we used to be really good at it (writing completely new lyrics to joke songs like dream and mucka blucka) and it helped all of us to express ourselves, even if someone only used it to bitch about me.

…i wanna get back into writing songs and poetry :)
