Art Farmer "The Summer Knows" 本作は初めてEast Windと言うレーベルを知り、圧倒的な高音質とスピーカーかカートリッジが壊れたかと思うほどの重低音に身震いし、Sumico Pearl購入のきっかけになったアルバム！の何と｢Digital Mixing｣盤！ EWは通算24枚目になりますが、こんなシリーズがあるなんて、全く知りませんでした。超感激！と聴く前からあの身震い再現！ ノーマル盤は、米国西海岸でも最高の技術を誇るJVCカッティング・センターで、ハーフ・スピードでリカッティングしたものでした。 本作のデジタル・ミキシングの説明が帯に図解と共にあります... 素人には普通の図もないと分かりませんが。 アナログマルチトラックマスター(8ch-32ch)をこのシリーズ専用にミキシングし、2チャンネルデジタルオーディオシステムによりでき上がったマスターを使用しカッティングされたレコード。 特長は... 1. 広いダイナミックレンジ(商品によっては85dB以上とれたのもあり、小さな音量～大きな音量まで収録されている) 2. 高S/N比(但しものによりマルチトラックテープのS/Nに影響される場合があります) 3. 奥行ある自然なサウンド 4. 粒立ち豊かでリアルな音楽性 5. 全帯域のヌケのよさとメリハリあるサウンドは抜群である。 何でもデジタルが優れている訳ではないのですが、さて、私のチープなオーディオ・セットでその違いは分かるのでしょうか、非常に楽しみ。 改めて通常盤との比較です。 デジタル・ミキシング盤は角が取れてマイルドな印象です。恐らく、細かい音の成分まで再現出来ているから、包まれるような音質になるのでは。あの通常盤の低音域のボコボコは、不快感のない奥行きのある音に変わっています。 高音域は繊細、通常盤は荒々しい。フリューゲル・ホーンは尖り、高音域は逆につぶれている。と書くと良くないような印象になってしまうがそうではなく、あくまでデジタル・ミキシング盤と比べると、であることを補足しておく。その差は、ほんの僅かなので、気付かないかも知れません。 デジタル・ミキシング盤の存在を知っていたなら、やはりこれを薦めます。 ちなみに、この比較は分かりやすいShure SC35Cで。推奨するカートリッジは、Sumiko Pearlです。上質の音です。 お復習になりますが、1976年5月12,13日、Vanguard Studios, NYC.録音。 #ArtFarmer (fl), #CedarWalton (p), #SamJones (b), #BillyHiggins (ds) #DavidBaker , #YoshihiroSuzuki (engineer) #KiyoshiItoh, #YasohachiItoh (producer) シダー・ウォルトンに初めて出会ったのも本作。 久し振りにゆっくり聴きましたが、音質の良さは、やはり圧巻！ #fuzey #vinyl #jazzvinyl #vinylcollection #jazzrecords #ジャズ #スイングジャーナル ※作品を知り、ジャズの素晴らしさを伝えたい。様々なソースをアレンジ、先輩諸氏に感謝。 https://www.instagram.com/p/CNMkBRcMopT/?igshid=7cdt46wdr8yr
