Man, fuck Central 46
Title: Good Gardeners
Part 1.
Part 2 -> link
A much-needed gust of cleansing wind chases away the dark, heavy clouds, allowing shy rays of sunshine to touch the battleground. The dust settles down after the battle, slowly revealing a depressing landscape of pure destruction.
Urahara lowers his head, discreetly watching the victor who walks away in silence, turning his back to him, and to the cross-shaped seal containing the ultimate loser.
“That boy…,” Kisuke thinks to himself, not without a pang of concern. “You’ve really outdone yourself this time, haven’t you, Kurosaki-san?”
The potential of this boy is simply astonishing; he has already broken the boundaries between possible and impossible twice. Come to think of it, in just one day Kurosaki Ichigo managed to achieve more than the whole Gotei 13 had in the last one hundred years.
And so the war is finally over.
Aizen is securely sealed away, and Ichigo will soon lose his shinigami powers. The status quo of the three realms seems stable, for now. However, there's this tiny little detail that still worries Urahara.
It's Ichigo's sad and somewhat absent gaze. Also the way he separates himself from Kisuke, from the Stealth Force members, and Head Captain Yamamoto, who came to collect the seal.
And another thing. There is also Kurosaki's question: “Did Hōgyoku really reject Aizen?”
It is almost as if Ichigo finally realizes that not everything he hears is true, but also as if the boy has developed a certain sentiment that was not there before. A compassion for the fallen enemy, perhaps?
If so, the question is – would Ichigo himself become a part of the problem one day? The kind of problem that Urahara used to keep under lock and key, buried deep in the Maggot's Nest.
captain commander let us hit the crowd screams in unison
This was a dream, so it's not entirely fleshed out or anything, but it's Probably time travel AU, where Aizen and Ichigo are married or in a relationship, and Ichigo decides to be a housewife/husband because he deserves a break!
So Ichigo calls Aizen during a Captain's meeting, and Aizen dutifully declines the call because he's in a captain meeting. Ichigo calls again and again and again, slowly driving everyone insane until Yamamoto allows Aizen to pick up the phone.
Now, Ichigo is incredibly good at breaking Aizen’s composure and forcing the truth out of him because otherwise, he probably wouldn't be in a relationship with the guy. So Aizen picks up the phone, and it pretty quickly becomes an argument which ends with Aizen saying to the effect of: fuck you.
Ichigo responds loud enough for all the Captains in the room to hear: Okay! Eight o'clock?
Aizen said, still sounding rather angry: sounds good.
Only after the phone is hung up Aizen remembers the twelve other Captains in this meeting looking vaguely disturbed.
Kido Corps
Central 46 has the Onmitsukidō, Kido Corps and Gotei 13 under it's command to enforce their rulings but it seems like they all used to their own organizations.
We know Genryusai founded the Gotei 13 a thousand years ago.
The Shihoins have served as the Supreme Comander for generations. I think they probably founded it as well.
Then there is the Kido Corps who is the most secretive.
I feel like Kirinji has some ties with them see he is the creator of Kaido which is healing kido.
With Kido being the Shinigami magic system and the reveal of Wing Bind and Soul Society West Branch who mainly rely on magic and the anime expanding the story along with the Hell Arc I hope we get more info on the Kido Corps.
Do you think each time the new Central 46 starts acting up, Kyoraku goes like: "Well... We could always apply the Aizen Method™ if you have problems with what I'm asking you..."
?????
In the matters of crossover...
Soul Society does not understand diplomacy. They are 'supreme', absolute, greedy control freaks, and 'holders of balance' or that crap. They lack rivals and others group to keep them in line.
Many group/organizations/goverments in other shows/animes/series/movies like the Wizard World (both other coutries and families), Vongola, Amestris or even Konoha and Asoiaf has 'other factions' that aren't enemies. They cannot simply do whatever thay please. Soul Society would never let another Spiritual Faction exist outside their control (even if are peaceful doing nothing bad), they would refuse to be 'allies', would demand the other faction to bow or betray them. If they ever 'ally' with an group of another anime/show, they would demand them to be subordinades to Seireitei, obey everything they say and be killed once their usefulness run out. Arrogant at the point of foolishness.
Many 'crossovers' would end up with Soul Society getting in so much trouble because they refuse to talk to solve problem and follow laws and respect the local rulers and leaders, wrongly believing they have authority and jurisdiction over everything and everyone.
The Moral Myopia also. No loyality, no trust, no partnership, nothing. No one would ever want to help them or ally with them, they would try to 'arrest/execute' someone they think is 'different', Ichigo should have noped out of here fast.
Fix-Its with most fandons has politics and talking involved, Bleach ones are about destroying Seireitei cuz Soul Society are a Butch of Motherfuckers.
See Game of Throne for exemple, you have to be careful with no only your enemies, but your allies and subordinades too. Two of Robb Stark's greatest fuck ups are Rickard Karstark (subordinade Lord) and Freys (allies), the Lannisters too (Selmy, the Faith and Tyrion), also which decisions you make and how they affect the other groups (Ned Stark's execution was a reckless foolish action and even Tywin knows it), its so fucking easy to switch sides, your enemies may be more sensible and willing to listen to ours wishes, don't you think so?
This whole 'we have an common enemy' and 'you will help us or else' would never work on many characters like it did on Ichigo and his friends.
No one is going to obey/ally with you if they get nothing in turn/are treated badly/you attempt to make them subordinades instead of allies or something similar. Their attitude towards the Vizards, Bounts, Humans in general or anyone powerful and outside their control tell us an lot. In an crossover, they would attempt to kidnap, interrogate, steal, experiment and murder innocent people with no reason whatsover or commit fucking genocide against societies they consider threats. They did nothing to deserve loyality, refusing to help those who sacrificed so much for them, declaring they own people traitors out of blue (Rukia, Hitsugaya in Diamond Rebellion, fucking Orihime when she got kidnapped) and threatening Ichigo and his friends's often. (Poor Uryu)
I also kinda love the idea where the Hero (an minor, a fucking kid) that has his whole life planned for him to involve himself in an secret world and fight wars that are not his, to put his friend and family in danger for an butch of ungratefull assholes and there is an crossover where said Hero meets people from another Fandom and when the plot starts, he looks the group that wants him to fight for them (and he knows them for like...an hour) dead in the eyes and is like 'lol, nope fuckers, #notmywar, I have better shit to do'.
Its also easier to deal with them. A centralized power that have charisma of lettuce juice (Rukongai would turn against them if given chance), the 'smallfolk' of Soul Society hate then and the Shinigami didn't even try to make some propaganda (like nobles in medieval era giving the rest of the food from feasts so when a rebellion hist, the people would be more willing to hid/help them). Horizontal leadership is more difficult to deal with, independant factions even more.
So yeah, villains like Konoha or Amestris would be far more diffucult to deal with
Congrats on the anniversary! For the question I'd like to know your thoughts on what the TVs in Seireitei. What was the sales pitch Mayuri gave for them (because let's face it he developed it for the Seireitei and he would have had to show everyone how they worked) and do you think Rukongai residents in the higher districts have them?
I agree with you that Mayuri probably developed TVs for the Seireitei, but I think he probably developed them for nefarious purposes. Most likely, Mayuri’s sales pitch was about closed-circuit television (CCTV) for video surveillance, and not for communication or entertainment. Seireitei governing bodies were very on-board with this. However, you know who took it to the next level and introduced entertainment programming? That would definitely be Urahara, expert on the Living World and shrewd businessman. Mayuri is probably furious that Urahara co-opted his CCTV for something as frivolous as a primetime block. What’s more reality TV than spying on people??
When I think of the kind of technology that Mayuri is fond of, it’s all very… fleshy. The blob TV that Hitsugaya and Matsumoto install in Orhime’s apartment comes to mind.
[Chapter 238]
Rather than plugging into an electrical outlet, I think blob TVs probably need a more organic source of power and need to be fed food in order to stay alive and work. Since they need food, this probably excludes all but the very privileged and rich from keeping televisions. Maybe once in awhile for a big occasion, residents of the better off Rukongai districts can band together to buy a blob TV. Maybe they can keep it fed for a week, or however long it’s needed for festivities, but then they let it die off. Otherwise, TVs are mostly found in the Seireitei kept by rich and noble families, who can afford to keep blob TVs permanently installed.
But the burning question is, what does the TV lineup look like? What does Urahara consider peak programming worthy of being brought over to Soul Society? Look no further than SOUL SOCIETY TV.
Let’s be real, the majority of what’s being broadcasted over the airwaves is just CSPAN and local access TV. But then there’s an incident with the Central 46, which leaves a long block of... dead air.
